Venom

Hiya Fellas and Fellettes,
Started a new sculpt a bit ago and finally got around to uploading the images. Working on a Venom mask. I have some reference images I am pulling some ideas from but I more or less wanted to do my own version of Venom. Well, this is what I have so far.

I couldn't help but spy with my splintered minds eye.....the harsh,ghastly,intolerable stallag conditions in your photo's background...
WHY......are we great modelers,propbuilders and sculptors so oft relligated/banished to the garage,a corner,a closet a piece of the basement? (nowadays called the Mechanical room)Is it because "they" Fear our Greatness,our abilities to create "gods" or their modes of Transport and WAR?......nope...its cause most of us are married and our wives know the mess we make. Ha Ha Ha....pleeze kanote the sarcasim

Heh yes I am banished to a corner in the basement. I refer to the area as the art dungeon. I figure if I am going to create vile creatures, putrid zombies ripe with rotting flesh, gruesome weapons of war and other unspeakable things I might as well have an equally fitting environment right? Maybe if I start painting flowers and sculpting My Little Pony replicas I'll be allowed upstairs. Then again, there's natural sunlight up there.....

wow that looks amazing! Just out of curiosity, i've attempted to start clay sculpting too and what kind of clay did you use?

Thanks for the kind words folks. Sorry for the slow progress. Working on two builds at once because I have PADD (Project Attention Deficient Disorder). I am sculpting this out of Monster Makers oil based clay.

This looks fairly ambitious! This is, of course, speaking with someone with little to no skill on the matter, but I wish you luck all the same! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
