And I'm back. Been a while sense my last update. Been busy with some other stuff. I might start posting it here as well, I'm working on a mega-woman costume for a friend at the same time as my samus suit. Anyway here is the first picture of the chest plate. Right now it looks like a mess cause..
it is. There were some warping issues and I'm trying to correct them in this shot. unfortunately it didn't work out to well so I'm just going to have to build it up with bondo and grind down trouble areas. Hopefully I can make it even again.

Did more on the chest plate. Got the front half looking pretty symmetrical. Took a lot of bondo to fill in the sunken in areas. Now onto the back half.

More sanding with spot filler and the fronts looking pretty good. Did some more work after this pic was taken to make the front edge level so it doesn't have that dip in it.

Have the chest plate to a point where I can stop for now and start on the next parts. Going to wait till all the parts are ready for details before I start on them.

They're beuatiful files, Talaaya. I was going to start on a set for my wife after I finish my Halo armor, but then we found out she's pregnant again. lol

Nice filler work rebelliousbot. It's refreshing to see someone not glob on a million pounds of the stuff and give up in the sanding phase.

Oh, now you're just giving me ideas. Zero suit pregnant Samus with a little metroid that has a sign saying, "I'm the father" :lol

Make a custom clear Mylar balloon for the metroid and tie it to the back of costume. Looks like it's following along.

My friend Lauren took a clear bubble umbrella, painted the edges green, hung some teeth around the points, and hung red balls from the main shaft.

Wish I could find a pic, but I'm at work so no facebook stalking for me.

did a little more work. started one of the shoulder balls and worked on the helmet, had to fill in the gaps in the back.
