Vader Soft Parts...

I've seen several Vader suits being worn some great some bad. Had anyone seen the stuff made by an ebay user that sells under Fenix props? I don't know if they are a user on here or if anyone knows them so I'm just looking for a little input and I am looking to get a good set of the ESB Vader soft parts but am uneasy about stuff I've never heard or seen anything about. Any input would be awesome and most welcome.

As I understand it from another costuming board, both Fenixprops and Customprops are making high quality real leather Vader body suits, but the Customprops ones are $100 less. These guys were partners but had a difference of opinion and went their separate ways.

I don't have either of their products but other Vader costumers speak highly of both guys.

i have fenixprops stuff, and will tell you this, its as top a quality stuff for the money. Customprops stuff, is made with a lil cheaper grade of materials. still not bad, but for a few bucks more, why not get the best around. Fenixprops.

Zodus, would you please define "soft parts" to me? Do you mean the Cape/Inner Robe only or do you include in that the Leather Suit and the Gloves/Codpiece? Just to clarify here so I can understand. Master Niob, I can make the Cape, Inner Robe, and if anyone wishes, the inner suit - I will not YET make it in leather, instead in a synthetic leather, and I of course am willing to provide pictures of how it stays. So far, I have done it only to myself, so many details were left off just for wearability by the guy who wears it at the events I go to, but I am quite aware of all of the details I have to put on it, so if you wish, by all means, my e-mail is open to you.

I COULD also offer the gloves, but the thing is I just recently learned how to sew gloves properly (with no less than Anakin´s III....) and I just would like some more practice, even thought I DO Have a guy around who could make them for me.

As I told you guys, I´m here for clarifications, orders, or if anyone wants to trade something for a pizza, I can buy the pizza. (old RPF tale, if you guys are new you may not pick up the reference).

Hermes I mean the leather suit, gloves, cod piece..both robes...everything cept' helm armor, boots, belt, shins and chest box

Zodus, I've been looking at the same dilemma as you except I'm looking for ANH Vader. I've heard many say that both are decent but Fenix is higher quality than Custom. My problem is that I can't get Fenix to send me pics of their ANH version. They respond to emails but say they've lost the pics they had of their ANH gear. I don't know about you, but I'd like some confirmation of the accuracy of what they build before I spend that kind of money.

Well, I can provide the Robe and the Cape. I make a synthetic leather suit that´s good enough for trooping, even, but since I only made it to myself, I was rather careless, for I could get away with making only the parts that are shown to the public, so the back of my suit was made in spandex, mainly for the guy that wears it to be less heat-exhausted. I made the back of the pants also in spandex, following the example given in The Empire Strikes Back, which was also like that, judging from some pictures I once saw. (then again, I could be seeing wrong).

thats similar to the LA 1 piece suit i have. the back all the way down to mid thigh is a mesh panel. like a football jersey but stronger stuff.

breathes extremely well, and if a underarmor set is worn underneath suit, like i wear, i stay pretty cool for several hours.
