Vader Appearance from 1981.

I managed to rustle up some pictures from a Vader appearance.

Confirmed date: November 21, 1981.
San Diego, Ca.
Rueben H. Fleet Science Center

Vader was played by Richard Stein.

All the other costumed people are fans that were asked to join.

The first "trooping" event I can ever think of.

The appearance was in support of a new line of ESB Giftware.

Wow, great photos! They def. give credence to those who say casts sharing linneage with the original helmet made anyone other than Prowse look like a bobblehead!

I remember Vader and stormtroopers appeared at Toys R Us on Morena 77? or 78?
God know if I have pics buried away in the family pics pile, but us kids were freaking out.

I remember the Star Wars Toys R Us appearance in Torrance CA back in 77 or 78. No pics though, cant buy film with food stamps.. Wonder why they didnt pad Vader up with some hockey pads like they do now?
