Well, almost.

Just a little polishing, painting and cleaning up and she's finished.
This has taken an age, and has seen my wife's pregnancy and the
birth of our baby girl, who is now seven months old.
This had to be complex - and I had to use black. I wanted a cut-away
within a cut-away look for this model.
I'm very pleased with the results.

I've always hated the screen accurate but untidy look of the flaring grips.
MR's solution was perfect, but cutting a rubber grip proved to be impossible to
make tidy and fit over the end cap.
My solution was to cut slots into the end cap for the grips to fit into.
I'm very pleased with the look.

The crystals illuminated.
I love the primary crystal's 'suspended' look, held out on the
arm - as if these Sith crystals needed to be away from the power source.
It's very Vaderesque also, as it looks as though it retracts on pistons for the
crystal's removal.
I also ran a couple of strands of 1mm fiber optic from the emitter crystal led
to two points at the rear of the emitter crystal housing.

As before the batteries are easily changed.

A big thank you to Wackychimp for the pic hosting, and to ATL Kenobi for
some fantastic little parts - can you see them Mike?

Thanks for looking.

Howard. :)

Beautiful. Your saber has an awesome museum quality look. :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Well I thought you couldn't outdo yourself...............I was wrong....

You know I love your cutaways. :)

Spectacular work. :eek The detail and execution simply blow me away.

Great photo's, too. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Sickening. Absolutely sickening. (But don't listen to me. It's just the jealousy talking. ;) )

Some day... yes, some day... I'm going to start collecting parts and cobble together my own cutaway. And if I can come even a little bit close to results like these, man, I'll be one happy dude.

A big thank you to every one of you for your kinds words - they mean a great deal to me. :)
I'll take a few more pictures tomorrow when the light's good and post them.

KD, I'll email you tomorrow. :thumbsup

Thanks again.

Howard.

Howard,

It is amazing. I am thrilled to see this and hope you will continue doing what you seem to do without flaw.

Any chance of a full saber shot?

Thanks for sharing your hard work.
