Vader ANH Cape & Robe - where can I get these from?

Hi,

I'm intend to make a concerted effort to fiinish my Vader and would be grateful if ayone could let me know of any sources for ANH Vader robes & capes?
The more screen accurate the better.

Cheap and good for the price, but not accurate enough IMO.

Custom is the way to go for accuracy. The exact fabric and pattern will never be duplicated unfortunately for the mass public, too many secrets and all.

Even if you get the wool and everything else it can take months if not years of reserach and good reference to get the exact thing used from B & N.

As mentioned Dave's suggestion or Kev Vader would be a good way to go for a public version :thumbsup

so you think LA makes cheap stuff huh? to each his own i guess. i have a LA body suit, and he is makin me a cape and robe set right now, i also have his cod as well. so far, i see nothing wrong with the stuff i got from LA. i have a friend who has both CP and LA bodysuits, and he said the LAsuit is waaay better quality wise than the CP suit. thats the reason CP no longer works for LA. CP wanted to use lesser grade materials, and LA said no. so they split up.

i have seen pics of Kev's stuff, and they are really nicely made also.
i never heard of the other person mentioned tho.

i would say run with either Kev's or LA's whichever you wish.

I only spoke for the cape/robe. I have a CP suit and i'm very pleased with it. But robe/cape and especially the cod are off, as the fenixprops also. The difference between CP/LA and my new Artisan Props cod is huuuuge

I got my cape/robe/1 pc leather suit from LA ( fenixprops)..I sent him a list of things I wanted to alter to make it more ANH accurate and he did a fantastic job...I would like to get a nicer more accurate set up someday, but for the price and service LA is hard to beat...my 2 cents

Heck, if LA is so good in 1 piece Leather Suits, I may even get my next one from him to spare me the trouble of sewing so much Jay, would you by any chance mind sharing that info with me so I can either A) make a better one myself or B) ask him to make mine (if that time should come) in the same way he made yours?

I own a three piece suit from Custom Props and its great. If you want an accurate ANH suít it should be a three piece suit

The main things I had him alter for ANH was on the cape and robe ( thinner leather on the collar, no pleats, slit upside etc..) his leather suit is nice, and a good trooping suit..but it is a bit "puffy" for my tastes..I have been keeping mine scrunched up in a ball in my armor tub between troops and it is helping add the wrinkles and take out some of the puffyness..as said though, the ANH suit was actually 3 pc..

yeah i know Doug makes a awesome cod, in fact, i almost had him make me one til i run across the other one, for less. it maybe a lil too wide at the front bottom, but its not that bad. i heard the oval was a lil off too, but noone seems to care or say anything on it. it has the notches on top for boxes and all. its waay thinner too than the ols SA cod i was using before.

maybe someday i will still get Doug to make me one, but what i got now works for me, till i decide to update it to a AP rots cod.

Cant say anything of their ROTS cape and robe...only ANH.
