Hello everyone.
Not to long ago a did a post asking about a company that finished the V Skyfighter kits.
Small Art works has decided to start buliding the kit and make it avalible to fans.
Just figured I'd pass the word on for those who may also be interested.

"Good news.
I have begun the process of making the model as a kit, complete with landing
gear. I am working with a friend of mine to very accurately roto-cast the
main body. The price is yet to be determined because some manufacturing
calculations have to be figured out, but I will keep it as low as practical.
The kit will likely be around $150-$200 USD plus postage. Possibly slightly
more but.... I willl make it lower if I can. It costs a LOT for the
materials (rubber and resin) and we need to cover our labour and materials
and make just enough profit to put bread and butter on our dinner tables.
It is being cast directly from the model you see built on my web site, so it
will be just as you see. So a lot of the work I did "cleaning it up" will
already be done, so the people who buy this kit will have a LOT less work to
do than I did on it. In other words, it will be a lot better than the one
SMT originally offered. That also means that I will be able to offer the kit
as a build up for a lot less than I would normally have using the SMT kit,
because I'm building the clean-up work into the kit, (misalignment problems
on the SMT original were terrible) so, it should require just basic assembly
and painting if everything works well. Even a novice should be able to build
this thing.
I am also going to look into making the passenger pods and other accessories
for the model as well. It's been a dream of mine as well. However, I need to
master them from scratch so they will take a while. I have to do a lot of
research first, and plan all the parts to make them accurate. But for now,
the complete fighter version as shown on my site will be offered.
I cannot at this time promise decals with the kit as I am trying to find a
reputable provider. Jbot was used for mine but he seems to be very
unreliable. He does good work but he sometimes disappears for long periods
of time, which throws a real monkeywrench into the works. I have the
printable artwork but I need to find a reputable decal manufacturer, so
decals are up in the air at the time of this writing. If you know of someone
who can make the decals, let me know. Or, if any customer can print the
decals themselves, I will provide the artwork if they buy the kit.
If you want to spread the word, post my actual email addy, show them the
page with the model on it and tell them that I am working on it. Anyone
interested, if they send me an email, will be put on my waiting list and I
will email them when the kit is available.
Go ahead and spread the word. If you want, feel free to copy and paste this
entire email to your forum.
But remember, (and post this) the kit is NOT going to be mass-produced, just
made for fans who want them on an individual basis.
