V Returns Tonight on ABC...............

.....and having seen a commercial airing recently only ONCE, I fear the worst.

Why aren't they promoting the h*ll outta this thing if they want it to succeed?

Without sounding like an old lady, I'm at least grateful to watch it at 9 EST instead of 10. It BARELY got me to stay up that late on a week night the first season, and it's only because I'm a HUGE V fan that I even give it the good grace I do.

This time around, I've got to watch it, if only for Jane Badler's addition.

My poor DVR. I don't watch a whole lot of TV - but, the last bits of Caprica are on tonight as is Detroit 187 (I'm a Detroiter). I usually DVR all of these - even if watch them more as background noise than anything.

Something's going to have to give. I don't think any of these programs are particularly noteworthy as I lost interest in Caprica episodes ago - although I am curious to see how it ends; Detroit 187 started strong and got lost now I just watch to see parts filmed in my hometown of Hamtramck (and where I work). V, well... V. Sigh, I had hope but find it's pretty narrow in its scope... I hope season 2 gets better.

I will be surprised if it makes through a complete Season 2! To be honest I thought they had already cancelled the show. I can't stay up to watch it at 10pm as I get for work at 3am. So I am glad that it will be on at 9pm. After the bust with Flash Forward it remains to be seen if people will watch it in large enough numbers for the Network to consider keeping it around.

I do remember the old Mini-Series V and caught a few hours of it on SyFy the other night. I forgot how hot Jane Bader looked back then! So I will be watching the new show.

Ya know I got started on this series, and all the sudden it disappeared! Then they started showing it off and on, different weeks....I just give up!
I think it could have really worked, but they had no schedule! I honestly thought it was cancelled!

looking forward to it. watching it more out of loyalty, but it has some interesting moments. Hope they can turn it around and make it cool.

I think itll be on Hulu also so theres another option. I'm kinda excited, just hoping for maybe slightly less overly dramatized stuff? but I guess thats what the normal viewers want...

OOooohhhhhhhhhh.....HELL YAH! No, I'm not really that excited. But It's been a long wait. Getting the kids fed and off to bed early for tonight. I had my wife make sure there's some popcorn in the house and to leave me alone from 8 to 9. Or is it 9 to 10... Shoot, now I have to go check again...

It will get the 10 episodes it's been cut down to.. But ABC has screwed them over hard with it all.. They need to find a new home, as they won't get a Season Three with them.. And seeing that this Season is a lot more action packed, better writing, and now having Jane Badler ( Diana ) and Marc Singer ( Mike Donovan ) joining, it's going to be good.. Got a lot of spoilers etc on my website, just click the image below..

It looks cool but its also nice to see how they threw logic out of this one. How is that thing suppose to stand upright just in a suit. That would be like me turning my head 360 just by putting an owl mask on.

liked the episode, did they change the creature design?, i thought it was different in the first season

I agree that's just lame. I mean the original was a bit far fetched but this is way out there.

I'm reserving judgment on how the Visitors look, but I DO think they've stretched quite a bit. I don't care WHAT they look like, frankly, as long as I can believe they can fit whatever anatomy they have inside a human skin 'shell'. How they conceal such major anatomical differences..........well.

I thought they revealed quite a bit last night, which should make viewers (including me) fairly happy.

The only thing I actually had a bit of a beef with was Jane Badler's reveal! I've been waiting for that moment (and I know they wanted to make her look good for nostalgia's sake), but emerging in a SWAMP-like environment, in FISHNET STOCKINGS and RED PUMPS, looking ready to sing some cabaret was :confused

The best explaination I can come up with is that the entire Alien fits into the torso of a Human "Shell" and the head actually goes into the head as we've seen. The arms and legs of the shell move by impulse. I mean, the hands of that creature would not fit into human hands (also based on Anna holding the dying soldier's hand last night.

The V inhabits the husk like a parasite, controlling most of the suit by thought.

I saw plenty of promotions here - there is usually not a huge fan-fair for season 2 of series. Only if they end up in cult status numbers do you start seeing the mass money spent on promotion (like Lost was each year)

Thought the episode was great and love the alien design.:thumbsup
