V only has 10 episodes in a season? WTH?

I looked up V to see how many episodes had been on when they said last episode that next week is the season finale. Since when is 10 episodes a season? Most shows nowadays have at least 20 episodes. This show can't be that much more expensive than other shows. Then they wonder why it's up in the air if it will be back for another season. I'm guessing it will be canceled to make room for another law/police/hospital show.

ABC has fraked the show over hard.. They first gave them a 13 episode season and if ratings were still good they'd back order another 13 episodes to give them a 26 episode season; which was suppose to start early November last year, but with the changes started airing January..

But then ABC turned around and cut their promised 13 episodes down to 10 so they can have " Dancing with the Stars " fit into their formatting..

Thus resulting in the network cutting short V‘s second season because ABC had no room for 13 episodes in its schedules.. They demanded V producers rework their scripts to fit it down to 10 episodes..

Veeks will be having flashbacks to last year when the series suffered a number of set – backs.. It’s hard to imagine ABC likes or knows what to do with V based on the way they’re treating the sci – fi reboot with yet another move seemingly designed to sabotage the show rather than allow it to flourish.. ABC decided not to air all 12 episodes comprising the first season together instead splitting them with four airing in November 2009 as a mini – series and then was followed by a multi - month hiatus.. The remainder of Season One aired from the end of March 2010; this was seen as a sign by some that ABC had lost faith in the series.. By the time V returned, many of its viewers did not despite an incredibly annoying countdown timer ABC ran during an episode of LOST in that show’s final season.. If anything ABC‘s publicity tactics backfired and turned irate LOST fans off from the show..

Though ABC has a proven record that they are not supporters of sci – fi television, so what can we expect.. I don't believe ABC will renew V for another season.. Fingers crossed that another network picks them up.. I've been chatting with a couple of the producers to try and find out what is happening, but they are waiting to see what happens before commenting..

Producers had 5 seasons planned.. A beginning, middle and end.. The end of Season Two, is the end of the beginning.. As you can see by last episode, the invasion is just about to begin..

Jeez, it's not back very long and it's wrapping up again. I hope it doesn't get canned, I really like it.

It's gotten better now that Erica has some blood in the game.. I hope we get to see the full invasion and resistance...

I'm kind of amazed it's still on. Terrible scheduling aside, the special effects are god awful (Hey, let's shoot the entire thing against a green screen!), the characters aren't likable (most are whiny or just do stupid things whenever they can), and of all the shows I watch it's the least enjoyable overall. I'm still watching it, but I've almost lost interest. If they could turn it around I'd be thrilled, but I don't see it going past this season.

You can't tell me they had a plan with this season. It's all over the place. At one time, Tyler is the most important human in the world. Oh wait, maybe there's someone else who can boink Lisa. Oh the Vs have to destroy the human soul. Next episode, it's nothing to worry about. The tool they were using to destroy the soul is instead withdrawing DNA because Tyler again is the most important human in the world.

No, they're making it up as they go along
