Using Foam Latex and resin together

I wanted to cast a character in foam latex, but portions of it (the feet, to be specific) I want to be regular ol' white resin.

My question, can I cast the piece in the foam latex (with armature inside) then after I demold it, place the character's exposed ankle armatures into a new mold to cast resin feet around it.

I guess my main concern is - will the resin wick up the foam latex before it cures?

Could you do it the other way around?Make the feet then do the foam part over the top.

I doubt the heat of a foam oven will be high enough to affect the resin.

Have you tried cold cast foam? Though not as flexible it doesn't need to be baked as other latexes.

could you maybe make the resin pieces hollow enough to slip over the armature and then attach them with epoxy or something? Might make for cleaner seams?

Yea, I could do all of that.. but I was just wondering if I were to do it the way I initially thought, WOULD the foam latex soak up the resin like a sponge?

Are you making some kind of prop display figure? Cause foam latex does break done after awhile. For long term stuff silicone or slush latex might be better.
