Something about it I don't like. Not sure what yet, but it's not my favorite poster ever. It's not terrible though. I am so hopeful that they don't mess this up. I guess they're getting a lot of lower-cost actors for heroes so they can afford RDJ for The Avengers :lol

Maybe it's cause he's holding the wrong shield for the time of the costume? isn't that the WWII costume, so he should have the other shield, not the newer round one. :confused

You are right on the Shield-
Without the mask, and with the crappy costume they had to put the round shield in the poster otherwise regular folks would not know who it was.
I agree that the world "AVENGE" is lame.
Not looking good...

instead of "Avenge" they should have just put "Justice" or something Captain America Related if anything at all.

I'm pretty disappointed in all the pictures so far, especially the first few that came out where it showed the henchmen on cycles and it all looked like Cobra Commander had bought out the Nazi's

Remember while we know he didn't have the round shield at first, most people associate him with the round shield so it actually makes more sense to use it in the movie.

Also as far as the "First Avenger" thing, in some countries that's all the movie is going by, dropping the Captain America bit, though I don't see the point of doing that as he's going to be called that through out the movie.

I like that the Wings on the sleeve of the t-shirt match those on the side of Cap's helmet.

The point is, for those who 1) aren't super familiar with the character and 2) aren't big fans of the USA, by the time it is Captain America this and Captain America that within the movie, the theater already has your money for a ticket. I would say that change to the title is all about putting butts in seats.
