Alright RPF, bit of an update here, not done one in ages so i needed to get something on here. Ive managed to get the material over the back half of the suit and im working on the front and sides at this moment. these photos don't do it justice too be honest because ive had it on and the spine was the suit is pulled taught really curves with the shape of a human spine, but it has too much excess material hanging off it too take any decent pictures with me wearing it ! qutie a few buckles and creases where the material is taught but i think i might had a few small stitches too flatten those bits down, also im thinking of making a stencil and spraying on the pattern that the undersuit has, seeing as the pieces are 3D i think a 2D pattern wont be too bad at all! especially after some of the glue has soaked through on the areas where there is a lot of detail like on the front of the suit ! I'll get more done and try get some more pictures which show everything off a lot better ! the front view photo is not very good so i apologise! but enjoy ! usuittack50 008.JPGRPF US50 002.JPG

Great start! You could always puff paint it for that 3D effect if you really want. ;) It would take quite a bit more work though.

i have better photos and an updated chest ! after cutting off some of excess material you can sort of grasp what is actually going on here!... still got a tone of stuff to do!.. I'm going to start work on the hip areas and then the shoulders and neck ! got to go buy some more foam and materials first though (yayyyyy :| ). Also where the two pieces of material meet i was planning on getting some rubber strip like what you find on the inside of a car door seem or something along those line and have that spanning across where the fabric meets. been looking at reference photos for the suit and in that area there is something very similar so hopefully that will turn out well! i just need some flexible rubber glue/adhesive then I'm rolling ! anyway i hope you enjoy guys :) more to come !!

Hahaha i did consider it ! im definitely going to spray the pattern on and if i find i have time ( and patience ) i might get some puff paint and give it a go ! i have seen some really nice puff paint jobs on here ! :D

I have a can, but haven't tried it yet. I was going to try and do a Halo undersuit as well, but other projects have taken presidence.

If you have a pattern, just spray puff paint.

Simply Spray Puff Paint - Simply Spray

That stuff looks damn good!! i might have to give that a go ! I start college at the end of the month and they have a laser cutter there so im going to laser cut a pattern/ stencil out when i go back ! this undersuit is such a large proportion of the build ! especially for halo 4 ! But cheers for that link man i think that will help me out a tonne ! :)
