Unknown screen used Sci Fi gun

I decided i want to get rid of it, so what do you people think, how much can i get for it ? if its 100% a fake then i will trow it away.

If I were you I'd be on a mission now to find out exactly what it is. You never know, it might still be something interesting but obscure! At least build up the mystique around it - the "prop that never was", as featured on the RPF!

Its a prop, doesnt mean it was used or made for any major film. There were tons of low and mid budget films made in the past. It could well turn out to be intended as a hand scanner, camera or laser targeting system. Could be unused but its a physical piece. Hope you didnt pay much for it.

I was lol, but after many years it gets a bit irritating ;)

I do not recall a movie called "Josie Whales"? I do recall one called Josie Wales. Must have been one of Clint's Green Movies. ;)

:D

Because you said that i begain reading that movie list,

Untuchables ? should be: The Untouchables.

Magnificent 7 ? should be: The Magnificent Seven

10 Commandments ? should be: The Ten Commandments

Apart from spelling errors they also simplified a few movie titles, the page with the movie list also has a copy error that you can see in the first line where it says the Godfather all the way down.

One would think that for a original movie prop they would have a clear copy without spelling errors etc about the background of Ellis props, this makes me think more about the authenticity of it.

I am in Europe :) and i don't think they want something just because it has a resin cast of a part of a weapon they have :lol

No. I meant that they might be able to identify what it was, so that you can better understand how to research it now.

Hello everyone.

I am back for a short while to say this prop IS A FAKE.

As you people know i contacted Paul Francis, he said he never made this certificate (his ones also has colors on it, mine has not), his name is on the second information page, so that says it all.

The prop might have been screen used, but the certificate is a fake, i mailed Paul Francis to ask what to do with the certificate.

I trew away the certificate, my first and last prop and it was a fake.

I am leaving again now that i placed some extra info about the fake prop, thanks for the information everyone, bye :)

Sorry to hear it was a fake. If we lived nearby I'd ask to borrow it for our charity film. Then you could say it was screen used. I really wanted this one to be from something obscure, but interesting.

This is an instance to where the prop, is in physical form, real yet the COA is a fake. This is a good reason why, if your into collecting, dont just buy something to buy it. Aim for something, a goal, something recognizable. Dont base collecting off names of films the parent company may have worked on. In that instance a can of Coke from said companies trash may be attached to Gulliver's Travels. Doesnt mean it was the prop used in the film, its just a can of Coke from the trash, never intended for use or was used in the film but it came from a place that worked on the film so now the films name is attached. While were at it lets attach other films that were set 200 years ago, one in space and another thats animated.

I hated the Riddick movie but the Necro guns were amazing pieces of work so I have one. Its the prop, not the movie. For others its the other way around but have a goal. If you like that prop, keep it. If not, light it on fire or sell it.
