Unglue resin pieces?

I recently bought a decent Bobba bucket but the nice aluminum stalk is glued in place (crazy - right!). So I'm wondering if anyone has a nifty trick to unglue the two resin pieces which make up the ear cover holding the stalk in place.

My only alernative is to take a hack saw but I'm being lazy ;)

Appreciate any advice!

I'd try inserting a razor blade and gently working it in to see how much give there is. If the person who assembled it didn't sand the pieces very much to give it a good tooth, it may pop right off.

a heat gun has worked for me in the past. just be carefull the resin gets soft but will be fine once it cools

Try flooding it with acetone. Might take a while but it should work.

Thanks everyone! Looks like I have several things to try while I'm snowed in the next couple of days!
