Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception

Nice work Darth Saber. Looks great.

Here is a good image of the Ancient Chinese World Map.

Well I'm having abut of a dilemma.
I picked up the soft cover Moleskine journal yesterday, but after i unwrapped the journal I noticed that the pages are much thinner than the ones from my U2 journal. Actually theyre slightly thinner than standard paper. Im sort of worried that the ink might bleed through he page or the weathering process might ruin the pages altogether.
I'm contemplating just using another hard cover moleskine.

Any suggestions?

Should I go wih an accurate journal with thin pages which might get ruined?
Or go with the less accurate hardcover journal again?

Could you cut out and swap the innards?

Or apply something to the pages after they're stained - a matte spray or a sizing agent to prevent bleed-though?

Has anyone been able to figure out what the text says on the left hand side of the MUSEO MARITIMO brochure?

Sorry if this is possibly a stupid idea, but if you've got enough spare pages to stick every other page together you could try that - I've done it for my cheap knock-off journal and it looks OK so far, but mine did have over double the amount of pages I needed. It does however add a very tedious day to the buildtime.

I think you should try weathering a page at the back of the book to make sure it wont work before you try something else.

Thanks for the replies...However, the insides of the journals have a front and back page which is glued to cover....I really dont want to start tearing up pages and messing around with glue that will most likely come undone in the future.

I might just go with the hard cover again.

BTW, here's the cap of the Cartagena brochure...Sorry, but this is about as clear as I could get it -

BTW, here's a work-in-progress mock up of the brochure page.
(Does anyone happen to know the font for the word "Cartagena" on top?
Im just using this font as a temporary place holder)

Looks really good so far. The only thing I notice your missing is the word before COLOMBIA... which should be "DE COLOMBIA" :)

I have font experts working on this now :lol. Ill post here when something is found
EDIT: Is it possibly Bookman Old Style?

Looks like "ESTA SEMANA" above "PIRATA", which would mean "this week," I think. Suggesting the opening of the exhibit, maybe?
