Hey Ron,

Is it just the video or are the nacelles turning in the wrong direction on both engines? It looks like they are turning opposite the way they should.

Hi Willie,
It is weird, they are actually rotating inward over the top, but seem to be rotating backwards.
It is the pinwheel effect.
Next video will be from the front more, so you can see the warp effect better, and from the bottom of the starship. It is hard to get a good top shot of a hanging model, with it's wires.
Remember... this is a six foot model.
My idea is to cut away those wires, and epoxy in mooring cleats in the fashion of small loops of wire painted to match the starship. Then, when hanging the model, the harness wires can be clipped onto those hardpoints. Even if the paint gets chipped there, it'll look like she's been docked.
My new starship model has those small mooring cleats/ steel loops.
As will the other starships I build.
...I will epoxy in a tube to mount the models on a pipe stand... like the 11 foot model has. This type of mount blocks access to the secondary hull somewhat, but the tube will support the hull right under the front of the main dorsal where the saucer is pushing down on a pipe mouted ship.
A hanging model has no such issues...no sag.
Hung from the main dorsal, with a plywood brace inside the saucer, there is no sagging force on the starship at all.

Hello Anson,
Thanks buddy, and I wish for you a wonderful weekend, with many loving moments with you girlfriend. Last weekend was a point in your life to focus on the great stuff in your life, and how lucky you really are.
We all need to occasionally reflect like that...to recharge our batteries. Make the positive energy flow...Counting our blessings, and forgiving ourselves for the past, we gain a power to build anything we want.
The truth is, that we are very happy, but our daily chores and stress can change that. A good example, is that we want more property, for our horses and animals, so we are selling our house as we buy some acres with no house yet. It could worry the hell out of us, but we choose to stay in that powerful state of self assuredness, that "We cant fail if we are on the PATH..to that ranch.
We will have our own ranch.
Very interesting stuff.
For me, staying in that state of self sustaining energy is the trick.
That is our real place in life, I think... being in that state.
You have many friends, all around the world.
I'm glad you took the time to be my friend, and you have excellent insight, thanks for sharing some of it with me.

The footage is a little shakey - I suggest investing in a motion cotrol rig. :lol

No matter may be said about this its still an impressive sight. :thumbsup

Rob, I accept your hand in friendship with honor.
No apoligy required my friend, we are having Star Trek fun.
But, I like that you are honest, and to tell the truth,
nobody can hurt the ultimate 66 project...
It is... what it is. Done. We did it.
My starship has the steelplates, dosn't weigh 150 lbs, can you imagine a 150lb model?
The ultimate 66 weighs only 25lbs, and can be moved, driven around in a car, laid on its side, and showed. Light weight is important for big models.

Anyway we know about the problems in the Star Trek collectors world, on forums, with the bad guys, so lets all focus on the good stuff.
I'm making the 3rd 'new ultimate 66 episode' post on youtube.
