Looked into costs to get up there. Unless I thumb a lift up the m1 it's gonna work out a very expensive weekend.

My wife and I are still coming up to that area anyway as we're having a weekend away, but if you don't think it's viable for the small amount coming that's fine Paul, we understand, but on the other hand, if this is the first time you've done anything like this, would less people be easier?

Hey Hez, only just noticed this!!
I'm seriously interested, I would love to be shown how to do somethings such as moulding etc.
I too seek travel arrangements so will have to work out some costs especially at this short notice.....
If 'The Eldest' was still up for this I could be traveling from Essex but don't drive so would be train or even an early coach

Right my options are:-
A 3 hour and 30 minute train journey at £95 to £110 Arriving about 10am and Leaving around 8pm or so. no point really??
An 8 hour coach journey!!! It goes from here to milton keynes and the upto newcastle.
Only £26 return but would have to leave 10:15pm on the 24th arrive in Newcastle for 5:55am on the 25th. No later coaches until 5/6am so wouldn't get to newcastle till afternoon. The return would on the 26th early lunchtime ish?
TBH I don't mind the coach journey (although rediculous when its 3 and a bit hours up the A1) but would the hours and then day stay be ok for you at all?
I've still got to "consult" the Mrs of course but will ring the coach poeple to confirm the times/prices.
@ The Eldest - if you want to do the coach journey with me your more then welcome to stay over here and then jump on the coach with me. I need to update my profile as I have moved to Stevenage but still in Essex a lot as my parents and sister still live there as do most of my friends... its only a hope down the 602 and a120.
