Guys

Looking for any loopholes you may know of to get an airsoft, into the UK, without having to have it ruined and very gayed up via it painted in any form of lurid slime?
Realise this is a shady subject, realise id be breaking the law having it in the house, but, that is where its staying along with my other resin firearms, i dont even intend to use the damn thing, yet mother goverment makes up these ***** laws on BB guns, and TBH living in Bham UK, id probably have an easier time buying a real bloody firearm, absurd.
Makes me wonder if i was to join a skirmish club (no need as i said) and pay up for UKARA, where are my funds going....back to Mr Browns pocket maybe?????
What are these HK sellers like that ship in two packages at intervals? Anyone had any success from that?

You don't pay UKARA anything.

You need to be 18+, and play three games at one site over no less than two months, then join that site under whatever T&Cs they decided upon.

I currently charge players £40 for membership, and that gets them 2 free games worth £16 each and free entry to special events.
Come January I'm going to drop that and just give free membership with no perks to anyone that wants it, and qualifies.

UKARA membership is optional.
You can legally buy a RIF so long as you can prove to the seller that you are a legitimate buyer. The easiest way to do so is to be on the UKARA database - Which is achieved by sending them a form stamped by your site confirming your membership.
Many retailers will be happy, though, to speak directly to the site for confirmation.

Please don't try to find loopholes in the legislation, though - We came close to getting shut down outright as it is, and the more folk take the mickey out of what are admittedly stupid regs that affect illegal sales not one bit, the more likely the government are to enact yet more restrictions that achieve nothing save making them look like they've done something to combat imagined crimes involving replica firearms.

Might be a good idea for UK members to keep such thoughts off public forums as well , the airsoft community fought real hard to get what exemptions they have and laws are easily changed especially knowing our government !!

Well, looks like ill have to fine a midlands based club i guess, join, get a verified number, then go ahead.
Crazy thing is, i dont want to skirmish, just want to put them in a display (MGS Socom etc) but, its a no no, id be breaking laws, and we cant have that, thanks guys for putting me on the narrow.

Soooo, should i join a club to get three meets under my belt, i get to hire a weapon to use i take it, i dont have to buy a two tone to use just for that "cool off" period and waste money?

Most places will rent out weapons, as it's hard to join up if you don't have one already!!

The other two exemptions are for members of an official TV/Film/theatrical company and members of an official, insured re-enactment group. ID and proof of stuff will be required. Even then, people will discriminate.
Why would you want an M16 if you re-enact Vikings, for example?

UKARA is the easiest.

It's not you that'd be breaking the law, though - It's whoever sold to you.
So by looking for a loophole, you're not simply risking trouble for yourself, you're risking the livelihood and criminal record of whichever retailer/seller/site you dealt with.

Believe me, we hate the situation as much as you do.
