Then why did Michael Kaplan (the costume designer of Fight Club) say on the DVD commentary that they found the original jacket in a thrift store? Everyone can keep the red jackets... I have the material for replicating two of the faux fur coat.. Thats my favorite piece. I just need someone professional that I can trust. Anyone know of someone?

Because they went out looking for things to create the look. IE, they had several articles of clothing and was like we like the seam here, we like the color here, we like the collar here, etc. One guy there even has one of the original jackets from the movie.

This is actually made by a company in the U.K. called "Ultimo-Fashions". They are fairly new company and their website isnt even finished yet. Its still "under construction". They do GREAT work!! Ive already gotten compliments for this jacket 3 time from people i don't know within the past 2 days! lol.. this sam company is the one that im helping to put together a replica "Motocross shirt" from fight club. Its in the works right now. Ive looked at the Soul Revolver jacket, even the Logan jacket version (the original replicator of the jacket) and i couldnt imagine paying those high prices when this jacket "Looks" exactly like those!! Im usually the first to pay big money for something but... this just wasnt the case. I got it at a great deal from them but i think this jacket is going for around 149.00 on ebay. Sometimes they start at a lower bid so you may get one even cheaper. And if you contact them and let them know that Brad sent you they may give you a really great deal!!

According to a filmjacket friend that recently purchased a Layer Cake jacket replica from Ultimo Fashions, his jacket was shipped from Pakistan not the UK. Not that it matters to me. It turned out great visually, but the fit was off.

Fits are always a little off unless you have it specially tailored. I still might look into the ultimo jacket, since looking at it then looking at my plain black leather... Not so special anymore...

Hi guys,

In my price range, I'm looking at something like:

Ultimo - £109.
Angel - £131.
Or at an absolute push: LeatherNext - £190.

Can anyone give feedback if they're dealt with any of the above? All jackets look the same to me. I'm sure Tyler's jacket is Burgundy whilst some of these appear to be bright red. again, feedback much appreciated.

Ultimo and Angel are a bit confusing as both use the same pic of a Tyler lookalike so not sure what's going on. I know Angel are the same company as Celebswear so maybe Ultimo is them as well?

Most of all, I just want a "good" jacket. Not bothered about $800 desiger labels, just something that looks the part, wears well, and won't fall to pieces in 6 months.
