A friend of mine is thinking of making a life size mummy from some craptastic horror movie he saw, and is asking me for help.
While I can easily point him to how to sculpt the mask, making the jewlery, casting, and all that jazz I am completely lost when it comes to wrapping something up like a mummy.
I see lots of information on WHAT they were wrapped in, and also WHEN they were wrapped, but very little on HOW they were wrapped. I can wrap a bandage around something pretty easy, but the fingers and feet and torso and how that all interconnects is a little beyond me.
From what I gather, it will be the old movie style mummy with both arms free, not the typical "real" mummy with the arms folded over the chest.
Any pointers on wrapping or even painting/dying the fabric used to wrap is welcome.
Many thanks guys!
Chris
