Does anyone have some pics from just a little further back? I just want to get a better idea of what it'll look like on a shelf. How does this compare to the Godzilla kit which was the gold standard a while back? I'm extremely interested, I just would like to see a few more pictures!
Here’s one mounted on a mannequin. I can get some pics of it on a shelf as well.
I hope someone familiar with godzillas kits can chime in. Im not sure how my helmet stacks up to godzillas (great work btw) but I do know a couple of differences. From what I understand he used a cold cast resin nose, my nose is milled from solid aluminum. Also if Im remembering correctly his base was vacuum formed or cast. Pretty sure that would make my helmet heavier by a good bit due to it being solid plastic. So overall not as light as godzillas but still comfortable to wear.

Second. For the reasons you just mentioned. Nose is milled from solid aluminum, etc..
Third. You custom build each one. I remember going over how I wanted the weathering a very certain way. It was numerous PMs, you were awesome, and finished the helmet exactly the way I wanted.
Fourth. He does not make them anymore.
Fifth. His cost a fortune. Why? He does not make them anymore.
Godzilla's are awesome. You can't go wrong with it on the very rare occasion when one comes up, but this one is just a bit better. Nothing against Godzilla.

For me as a kid in '77, I didn't like this design at all. I was 7.
Now that I'm slightly more developed, I recognize it to be one of my favorites from the OT, and something that will stand the test of time.
