I haven't posted for a long time but i just finished (at least for now) my Tusken Raider rebreather.
I tried to achieve the look of the original two-welded-cans look by adding a "welding line" with E-6000 glue on the middle section of the rebreather,
i cutted the cow leather roughly and tried to imitate the overlapping seen on many screenused pictures and behind the scenes shots.
Also the red of the W-40 caps shows through the painted silver which i read can also be seen on some original pictures.
Haven't found a picture yet showing the red underneath but i trust the members of this forum enough to incorporate this to my build anyway!
I did this by masking some prominent areas before painting with a rattly can silver with masking fluid.
I plan to add the weathering later to keep it consistent to my mask and cloth.
Here are some progress pictures and the final result, i hope you enjoy....
Btw.: Thanks to Diego for this very nice kit back then, it was a really nice small project to do!
And finally together with a Godzilla mask which i plan to update and redo for more screenaccuracy next.
The plan is to stay with a Tusken Raider lifesize bust as i don't have the space to display another full Star Wars character!
Thanks for looking!
