Trying to replicate early HCG Pulse Rifle color scheme

In looking at the photos of the olive drab pulse rifle on HCG's webpage, the color scheme seems a little different than the production models people have received. The photos I have seen of the production models seem to be a much darker green. I don't know if this is an actual difference, or just the result of different lighting/photo conditions. Both look great, but the more subtle green of the early HCG pics has really grown on me.

I will soon be painting a resin pulse rifle and I would be interested in any advice on how to achieve a color scheme similar to that of the early pics on HCG's site.
