Trooper Armor / GLUE??? (What kind? & Where?)

bounty treasure

I purchased an armor kit a few years back that came with a cement that would chemically melt or weld the areas together where it was put...

The bottle dried up and I cannot find it for a name anymore, and was just curious what I could use to bond some of the pieces in the same fashion (I had velcro'd a few of the joints where I would now like a permanent seal)

-What type of cement do I need? (PVC or is that too strong)

-What brand?

-Where can I get it? (Home Depot?)

Any other armor bonding/assembling tips welcome too.

THANKS!

Devcon Plastic Welder is all you need. Stinks like hell, dries fast and makes a solid bond. It has served me very well for over four years.

Unfortunately, you have to buy it at Wal Mart (boooo), but it's cheap!

COUPLE QUESTIONS...

Where at WalMart do I look?

Does this stuff allow some pliability? (Am going to affix the front seems on some pieces, and probably velcro the back, which would require some bending or flexing when using or storing/displaying, etc...)

And what was the second item you mentioned in your other post (I think you posted twice)

ALSO - Since I have you on the line, what's the best way to get the armor nice and shiney/glossy (Had tried a suggested car wax once that wasn't too impressive)

THANKS AGAIN!

Plastic welder is in the paint/hardware dept at the Wal-mart. It does have some flex when it dries so no worries there. Just keep in mind it doesn't dry clear so make sure you don't apply too much.

As for polishing armor, you need Novus 2. You can get it on ebay, or any marine or boat shop.

You won't find a quicker damn good permanent user friendly glue for armor... And I second the stink, it smells real bad, and you need to only mix up VERY small portions as it kicks real fast, but you can literally glue up a whole suit in an evening without the hassle of clamps and long holding in place times...
