Don’t get around to sharing a lot of my projects on here but this one I’m pretty happy with! Here is my modified Sam Flynn UD Replicas suit I built for San Diego Comic Con this year. I know it might be blasphemous to cut apart one of those, but this suit deserved to be lit up! And seeing as I couldn’t find anyone else doing this, I figured I would!
I scored a perfect fitting and condition suit on the UD Facebook group earlier this year. Started with cutting out all the inner liner, all the reflective strips and leather behind them. Added in a ton of LED strips diffused with layers of foam and then remade all the clear strip covers and coated the inside with a white rubber coating. I wanted it to look correct both on and off and this combination worked the best! All powered by two 12v 6000mah batteries inside the jacket. It managed to power the suit for well over an hour and could have kept going. I also added a magnet mount system for the disc on the back and a light cycle baton on the leg.
Let me know what you guys think! Always looking to make things better the next time around!
