Trick R Treat Life-Size Sam?

Anyone here know anything about the costume for Sam from this movie? Just watched it last night and thought it was great! The loli-pop was a really cool prop too, and might also be something that could be easily replicated.

I did a quick search on the net but didn't really see any info on the costume. There was a nice mask combo but the head has holes above the eyes.

Jon Fuller produced a superb Sam bust:

Oh course, if that's out of your budget (it's certianly out of mine!) I'm thinking that a burlap mask wouldn't be too hard to make to go over a foam/plastic pumpkin on a soft child mannequin....

Or there's this official Deluxe mask coming out (which is latex with a removable burlap mask - no pics of the undermask yet though):

Whether the final product ACTUALLY looks like that is another thing though....

im planning on starting a costume soon, mask first, will prolly post reference caps i got soon as well.

Anyone got accurate (or pretty good) measurements for Sam's lollipop? I'm after the diameter and thickness of the circle.

I'm thinking about possibly 150mm diameter and 8mm thickness - or is that too small?

from the screencaps i gathered, its more like half an inch thick, its pretty thicky.

PJs are the hardest to find so you might have to just sew up a pair your self. I used an orange fleece. For the head, I found a plastic sphere and then hot glued a little tikes hard hat inside so that it didn't wobble on my son's head. The folding of the burlap on the head was tricky to get right.

Here's a picture of the costume before I got done getting the burlap tighter and the PJs completely sewn.

Nice costume!
I'm planning on doing a lifesize myself, having trouble with the orange outfit though as i have zero sewing skills

That looks awesome Rahl! Still not actually seen the movie as it's not out in the UK on DVD until the 26th. Got to get it then think about doing Sam's head.

ive found adult size orange pajamas like that, wouldnt think child size would be too hard.

Well, I tried browsing online, didn't see any though. Probably will have to do a more in depth search. I'm surprised its not an acutal complete costume at this point. Probably will be soon.

I find it amusing how cute he looks in this... And it's a horror movie costume.

Can he see all right through that? It looks awesome, by the way! I just got done watching and must say, I really enjoyed the movie. I'm thinking about making my own lollipops to hand out like his in the movie.

The burlap is thinned out enought that he can. Just like the view from the movie when it goes to what Sam is seeing.

I did a little more searching and couldn't find anything even close. I wouldn't think that would be a hard item to find at all either, lol.

How tall was he in the films, like 4 feet?
