I have to step back a moment to Transformers 2, and say that I STILL don't understand why people have a problem with it. To me there were two shortcomings in Transformers 2: humans and the amount of lame humor. Anything that had to do with Sam or his GF or his family or the new minority friend was just painful. Some of the humor was equally painful. However, I thought virtually anything involving the bots was absolutely AWESOME (yes, the twins were over the top and I could have done without Devastator's balls but aside from that...). To me, this movie, even moreso than the first, brought my childhood dreams and imaginations to life. Seeing massive robots beating the crap out of one another is all I wanted to see and I got it! I thought the final fight was my childhood dreams come true and have difficulty understanding why so many were so upset with it. Watching Bumblebee strip Ravage was the adult version of so many childhood clacking together of plastic toys. What is it you guys were wanting???

Your picture illustrates one beef people have (other than the atrocious writing). I honestly can't tell what is going on in that picture. It looks like someone working at a vehicle graveyard has taken up abstract sculpture.

Jon,

I guess I can see that. I will admit, the battle at the end of the first Transformers movie was very confusing/frustrating because it was difficult to tell who was who and what was going on. I thought it was much more clear in Transformers 2 but I can see how some might still be confussed.

I will also admit, when I first saw the movie designs for the Transformers, I was really let down, but given what they do and how they move and how they Transform, it is now hard for me to imagine any other design that would have looked like it might have a prayer of working on the real world.

Thank you Art for putting it so well, I too enjoyed both movies and disliked the same stuff you did. But overall I thought they were fun and brought back memories of watching and playing with transformers when I was younger. My only big beefs with the movies so far is that they have now killed off two of my favorite bots, Jazz and Jetfire.

I disagree, looks just like a big yellow robot ripping the backbone out af a smaller robot.

Let me just chime in here to remind everyone that Michael Bay filmed this one in 3D. This is not a 2D up-converted.

I was a payed extra for the 2 day shoot in Milwaukee! I can cosplay myself! I signed a non disclosure so I cannot post details until July 1....
