Hi RPF
Some time ago I saw a cool tutorial on Tested how I can transform a normal Resin Skull to something evil.
They use normal cotton and some liquid latex and to add something like rotten skin to the skull. The next
stop was to add some acryl paint. I use different colors and make also a wash.

Today I check this out....and it works great !

here my results

Have fun !

For a burnt look, cover the skull in expanding foam. Then when set, chip away at it until it looks rotted etc.. then for example spray paint it black for the burnt effect.

I have never heard of that technique before. I'll have to try it out.

Nice work on the skull! I like the second one personally. The darker flocking blends in well.
