New Star Trek project. The vulcan First Contact ship.
It will be 3D printed kit like model. I'm still undecided of the scale - thinking about 1/144 maybe larger…

The upper part with plating and details are done. Only the screen detail of the engine bells are missing. I'll do them when I hollow the 3d model out and separate the printing parts.

Basic shape of the lower ship part and the landing legs are done.
Adding details and "plating" at the moment.

Very nice. Only one I've seen of this subject. Vulcans have very cool designs.

Outer hull of the model is done.

Finding the right center of rotation for the legs costs more time than I expected.
But now I can show some render in flight mode:

Also determine the scale. The printed model will be 1/144.
Now I can start modeling the landing ramp, hollowing out and cut the print parts.

First parts are hollowed out and cut. Also added taps.

First prints...fits like charm.

"Leg" and "foot" parts are test printed.

For flight or landed mode only change the plug part in between.

Also done a version with open airlock and ramp.

Main body parts are ready for the printer.

First main center part printed. Quick fit test looks good.

But got issues with the supports, so got some deformations on the underside.

T'Plana-Hath - First Contact vulcan ship 1/144:
All parts are testprinted.

Also done a proof of concept: Options to build flight or landing configuration only by changing the connection plugs. And by 60° offset the center part - the reason I made a hexagonal hole / lock.
Not often plans go like they drawn. So I'm very happy...
Here are some pix of the quick test fit. Don't mind the messy underside of the parts. No clean up done do far.

STL Files are collected, renamed and packed. Making last touch ups on the instructions at the moment.

LEDs are here so started lighting test.
Got two setups: on the left more even glow or on the right spoted light ring...I'm undecided.

Center body parts are glued together.
Can't resist to make a dry fit with arms and engine bells...

This was the last test. So files are ready for purchase. PM for further information.

I love it when everything fits together as designed with no surprises.

Upper half of the ship is assembled. Gaps filled and sanded. I love the posibility to use the UV-resin as filler/putty.
