"TOP GUN" Maverick's F-14A Tomcat

Something I threw together, nothing fancy per se:

Used references from the movie; the plane came out a little "bluer" than I would have liked. But overall, I like it.

Two things - 1) What's the goods on the model? (kit, scale, etc.)
&
2) Nice to see someone else still using a MS Natural Keyboard! I recently applied silicone grease to mine and it works a whole lot better now... used the stuff in a little "tin" that plumbers use (safe for plastics...)

Hey Robert;

1) The model is a Testors 1:72 scale "Top Gun" movie kit, issued originally in the 1980's (scored this one at an antique mall of all places!). The base is a piece of wood with crumpled, painted tin foil standing in as the ocean and a "TOP GUN" patch I won on Listia.

2) Yeah, I use it to help with Carpal Tunnel and other hand issues.

Another fun project would be the larger scale kit seen as set dressing in Maverick's apartment when he's having that pensive moment with Goose.
