SERIOUS props are in order

Sorry guys been working overtime, i've ordered the thinist plexy I could fine I think she said it was something like 3/32nd thick but I'll also do a prototype of just a single layer of 1/8" with a 1/8" boarder with the Stark Logo along with the LG logo I'll try and get that posted up tomorrow.

Great! Is the "laser etched image into the plexy" idea still on the table?

yes the etching of the controls is still something I want to do with the multi layer one, etching both the front and back with various controls.

I'm definitely in for one! We're both in Illinois too propalooza!

I've wanted this prop since I saw the film. Very nice!

And I'm glad that we've agreed that the Stark Logo is definitely there.

Working on a couple of screen displays to jazz it up somewhat, interested in how you would light it up as there isn't any room for electronics unless you wouldn't mind seeing the wires.

that looks really nice.

i can think of a way of lighting it but you would have 2 thin wires coming out the side for the power but i suppose you could hide them up your sleeve.

have you heard of EL wire? what i would do with create a small channel around the clear perspex and glue the el wire around, then encase it in the black rim ( you may have to modify your design if you wanted to do this). turn it on and the wire will glow all around the edge illuminating the screen.

add a couple of printed transparancies and your good to go

If you were to use a pedestal-type display base, you could embed a digital photo frame, cheapy MP4 player, or even a PSP to create the illusion of an animated screen when on the display.

Couldn't walk around with it, but it'd look nifty!

well beyond my means as far as adding electronics, I'll have a couple of different versions up later as I'm getting ready to do a couple more test cuts, One is a thin 1/8 single panel and the othe ris a 1/4" single panel. I won't have the really thin plexy until tomorrow or Tuesday so just playing around at the moment.
