Today's stupid question . .recreating a clunky screenused piece

Please enjoy my stupid question . . .

Say you get a client that requests a costume or prop for you to recreate, and they want it as identical as possible to the screenused deal they once had.

They provide reference, help, feedback, etc, and you confirm the order the way they want it.

You recreate the pieces, giving it much love and attention to detail . . .and it ends up looking just like the screenused piece . . . .a big pile of crap.

Do you ship and stop freaking out cause you've done your job to a 'T?'

Or do you open your fat mouth and let them know your opinion?

Thanks in advance. . .:confused

You build it like the customer wants...if they change their mind, you can charge for a new one.

If you've done it correctly and as agreed, then send it off and forget it.

Your personal opinion of something is irrelevant.
If it's built to spec, there are no problems. You are being paid to do a job. That's all there is to it.... no matter how awful something is, it's what they want.

Yours is not to make reply, yours is not to reason why, yours is but to do and arrange secure shipping with comprehensive insurance and tracking via the triplicate paperwork.
:D

If they want all the clunkyness give it to them. They are clearly insane so don't mess with them.

Nah, he's not nuts at all, except of course he hired me . . .**shrugs**

It's actually been a cool project, and a huge feather in my cap to get to do it, I think I'm just freaking out about it as it wraps.

Thanks for the opinions, I appreciate them!!
