Hey guys,
I've posted a few threads regarding my build and figured it might just be easier to start a thread about the whole build
So this is my first ever armor build, and I essentially had almost zero experience with foam (craft foam) prior to this build, so I've been messing up a lot.
I've already messed up quite a bit, and really want to complete it on this try. Anyways, I'll be updating this thread with pictures and other information, mostly probably to get advice from you guys.
Some stuff I've learned so far:
Heat seal foam before using it
Sand wood glue after applying every few layers
Make sure the holes in the wood glue are completely filled before painting
Follow application times for paint very carefully, otherwise the result might not look stellar
Plastidip would probably make this a lot easier, but it's too expensive lol
Let pieces dry in positions that won't bend it out of shape
Don't glue the back of the piece if I need to bend it
Anyways, I still have a lot to do
Hopefully I'll be able to complete this soon!
