I just finished my first try at detailing Yoda. I first began work on this a couple years ago when I acquired a damaged plaster casting of a head from a Disney animator. I don't know the lineage of this since the animator was unclear himself, but I'm sure it's not from a screen used head. We repaired it and cleaned it up, then cast it in fiberglass. The result is a lightweight, hollow head where eyes can be installed. Anyway, I painted it up using a can of Krylon spray paint and some craft paint.

I got the acrylic eyes for under $20 online at Van Dyke's I think. The gray hair was under $5 at Joanne Fabrics. The latex hands and feet are from Bentley O'Toole in Australia for about $45. I still need to make a cane. I mocked him up in some material to generally see how he'd appear with robes on, but this is only placeholder. My wife and I are working on some robes to finish him off.

Could I get some feedback on this one? Honestly, I'm no Yoda expert so paint, colors, hair, eyes, hands, feet, etc.... Let me know what you think, or what you'd change.. Thanks!
_ Chris

Looks good Chris - proportionately, I would say the hands are a little too large for the head, but that's an easy fix - when you make the robes just ensure they are fractionally longer to cover a bit more of the hand area, it'll look better overall in the display.

I think it looks a heck of a lot better than the Rubies version I have sitting in my office. I think you did just an awesome job on the paint work.

You may be right on that, thanks for the feedback.
