Decided to make a costume for the first time, i loved Titanfall and decided to make a Titan. I've started making the underchasis and cockpit for the pilot. I also have a figurine to place into the cockpit its 1:6 i think...
Here are a few sample shots..
I do have a full time job so i dont have much time to work on it, but i do what i can.

I'll also be working on 2 mechanical arms following steps provided by this guy, which seems simple enough. But theres a lot of work ahead.

Pic 1 side shot
Pic 2 Just a little reference of what im going for.
Pic 3 Front shot, (the cockpit) still at its base Above ive already installed a battery powered blue light.
Pic 4 (accidental repost -_-*)

If you guys have any idea's/advice please let me know since im a beginner and half the time its guess work and luck.

Nice, I was thinking of making a static prop for a mates video game store he manages but had no time. Subscribing :)

Yea, i'm having trouble making chest piece. I'm trying to get it to open up. I'm thinking of using springs to open it up, or a certain locking mechanism. I'll be looking into Styrofoam and eva foam.
For a first time it is pretty daunting.

That video you are using to make your mech arm is pretty good.
Instead of using wood I would for the fingers I would use a PVC pipe. They are much lighter than wood because they are hollow.

I liked the design of the Mechs in the Trailer (buy xbox, get Titanfall)

I wonder if anyone can rip those models, or if I'm gonna have to model them...

Looking good so far PVC pipe would be lighter for the fingers good call Alpha, I look forward to your progress keep up the good work

I am also planning a Titan, I am thinking about ten feet tall. How big are you planning ? I have some experience in this already, looking forward to your build.68742_160611897292421_500654_n.jpg

Hey Bumblebee, do you have a build thread on here for your Titan? Sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread bro Bumblebee's the man when it comes to giant costumes he can help you.

YES! I'm building the same thing! which titan are you going for? I decided to build the Atlas. I'm trying to make it as big as possible while being safe. I decided to make some sturdy legs out of wood and work my way up with cardboard coated in sealant. I'm just a little lady only about 5 foot. So I don't think I can get my titan to the game level height and be safe. Hopefully a nice 8 footer would work?

my only annoyance is that the titans have those digi-grade legs, which look amazing but are a total pain to build. Are your arms going to be articulated? I've decided to pose mine in a static hold and move the upper arm around by grabbing a handle. I'm not planning to fight anyone and I'd like to consistently be able to pose well for pictures. XD

I'm also wondering if you are building the actual robot? I decided to break mine up into an under piece and over armor that attaches. That way I can get into the stilts and make sure i'm walking comfortably in them and then attach the titan goodness around me when I need to.
