Thor Scale Mail - How was it made in the film?

I understand there have previously been numerous threads on how to replicate Thor's Scale Mail sleeves, and I've seen some lovely cosplays using foam diamonds stuck to an undershirt - but I'm looking for information on how the original sleeves on the screen-used costume were made and haven't been able to find anything.
Does anyone have any information or guesses?

If you look at the lower section of the left sleeve; there are raised, square nubs molded into the sleeve itself. The individual tiles are then snapped or glued in place onto those nubs.

On the right sleeve master pattern (seen in the background, gray) you'll see that each individual tile location is numbered to indicate which 'type' of tile. The different tiles look like they're kept in those compartmentalized plastic boxes.

So, in reality, the people gluing on the individual tiles have the right idea...it's just tough to find an adhesive and a tile material that doesn't catch on the corners.

Thank you so much for sharing, this is just what I was looking for!
