This is Sarge- WTF???

Guys, this is Sarge- I'm having some kind of login problem and I really need to PM some people soon.

For some reason, every time I login, it reverts to my son's name as soon as I click on something. I've logged him out and re-logged in as myself, but as soon as I click something it goes back to him. I've cleared cookies, re-booted the whole system 4 times now and it keeps doing it.

HELP!

Anyone??? I can't even post in the JY right now because "Zaratul" doesn't have enough posts... That and I haven't been able to check my PMs since Sat. afternoon.

I'm assuming that you are using Internet Explorer, if so, then you should download and install Firefox and try logging in, if you are still having problems it's a forum issue (I don't see how, but I guess anything is possible).

Otherwise, if it works, then you know that something is messed up with IE, and you can at least continue to use the RPF while you get it sorted out.

Your Sgt account seems to be ok, we are not receiving any similar issues.

At first glance it sounds like a cookies issue, but you said you cleared them out, ect.

I will bring this to the rest of the staff's attention, maybe they have another angle on this.

Ah cool! Thanks Bryan! I was wondering if it might have been some sort of automatic, anti-sockpuppeting thing that was running amuck or something! :lol

I'll keep an eye on the thread here to see what you find.

Thanks Again!

We checked on our end, it does not have anything to do with the RPF or your account.

I am sorry that I couldnt come back with something more helpful.

Something similar happened to me on another forum. Using a shared computer at work, I logged out my coworker (who also uses that forum) and logged in as myself, then uploaded some stuff. The files were credited to HIS account. Then it happened again even after clearing cookies. This was using Firefox on a Mac.
Had to dig deeper into some menu or other to delete MORE cookies, or something. Unfortunately my memory is not more exact on the matter...
