No denying Wilt and Andre were huge, true 7-footers...but I've heard an awful lot of reports the last few years that Arnold was NEVER 6' 2", was at the most 6' 0" in his prime, and that he's shrunk to be around 5' 10" tall in the last decade.

I'd love to meet him to see for myself.

Either way, public appearances are no way to judge an actor's height. They routinely wear a few extra inches in their shoes. It's as common as facelifts and artificial tans.

With someone like Arnold it seems a given. His image is built on huge size and he is smaller than his prime now.

I don't know how tall Arnold is/was, but I do know that he was in the Austrian Tank Core, and they usually don't pick tall people to be in tanks.

Unrelated. My Dad once told me that in WWII, all the weight lifter in the Marines were Tankers. The reason for that being that they could store their weight sets in the tanks. Nobody was going to notice a few extra hundred pounds on a tank. They were all short men also, not a lot of head room in a tank.

Actually Ahnold is about 5-9 maybe 5-10. I once stood next to him. His official height is six foot. Not even in his boots was he as tall as me, which is dead on six foot.
