thinking of getting an iron man suit from full body armors.com need advice

Ibiza,
I finally got to try the voice changer. It has 8 different settings for voices. Honestly in my professional opinion...not recommended. Save your money on this item. I'm already going to take it out of my helmet because it's just not that great of an item and who knows, I could probably use it for another cosplay down the road.

I'm looking at a lot of the joining methods they've used and I'm thinking ... why not use magnets? Rare earth magnets should be plenty strong enough to hold things like the wrist pieces together, instead of using bulky and ugly zippers.

I finally finished with the right leg. Tried it on with one of the suit shoes and with MY sneaker in it...not to brag but I AM A @#$/&! GENIUS! The rivets were the best idea ever and putting my shoe in there really made a huge difference. Putting the leg piece on is very tight since I did away with all the velcro and it doesn't really stretch out so to speak. The back of the knee I installed with 4 rivets only and the inside of it with elastic and works beautifully. I can actually walk around and bend the leg a lot more now than I could before, what a difference it makes when you actually build something that works. Last thing is the harness straps...I put on my leather belt that I wear everyday and took the nylon straps and sized them to make loops that I'm going to rivet right onto the leg. The elastic straps I'm doing the same thing with just for the pieces in the front and back. All I need to do now is copy what I did to the left leg and left arm and I'm pretty much done with the major fixes. There are pieces of the helmet that keep it from being a closed unit, think I'm going to get rid of those to make the helmet look more like an enclosed piece...just me being picky and I'll more than likely take out the microphone for the voice changer since that was a huge waste of money. Shoes are simple enough to do, some epoxy of sorts and a few add on pieces to close the gaps and done. Oh I had to mention this...when I got my suit, of course no instructions, I had asked James for some on how to put on the suit. His response "I have no model to put a suit on to make a video on how to wear it", yep that just happened and at that point I ceased any further questions to him. Most of us cosplay so we pretty much have a good grasp on how things are supposed to go on, I know I do. Guys I know what it feels like to be waiting and hoping for the delivery of your suit, best thing I can tell you is get in touch with PayPal to have them put on some pressure and also hound james as much as you can. I did that and more but I sure as hell didn't get what I paid for. Don't forget to check out my videos for info. If you guys need any additional information I'll be happy to help with video or pics or any mods that I did on my suit. I'll try to get another video of my soon to be finished suit out ASAP, still got some work ahead of me but getting very close to finishing.

Hi Superdave,

I have been making small adjustments to my suit as well. Can you take some pics of the rivet work you have carried out. Also did you manage to get your voice changer to work?? I have yet to get any sound out of mine.

I have found my suit is fitting well, I did have the same issue with my shoes and ended up self tapping screws through the sole to the suit as the hot glue just would not hold. I have one small piece which has come off behind my calf which was glued, I'm thinking the rivet might do the trick, so if you can or if you have taken any videos of your upgrades, let me know where to look.

Kind Regards,

Orignl

Orignl,
In regards to your voice changer make sure to look at the solder connections on the speaker and look for any possible cuts/tears on the speaker face. From what I found out from James some time ago you can use the 3.7v batteries for the unit if you need the extra power. Mine works with just regular AA's no problem. Double check that your volume is up and the mic is fully plugged in and theres a possibilty that you might have a bad mic, another option is try another mic if you have one available. Also you might want to try the button to change voice sound just for the heck of it. I'm sure you've probably already done all this but just trying to think of all simple fixes. The wires they use are very brittle somewhat as I've already had to resolder the wiring on my main battery pack. Hope you got a chance to see the new video and hoped it helped in your mods.

This thread could literally be bound in to a novel. Really glad some of you have got your suits (finally) and massive kudos to Dave for creating those detailed reviews.

Dave, can you modify the titles of your videos to include FullBodyArmours.com? YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world after Google and your videos are by far the best for getting a genuine flavor of the suits build quality etc. Want to make sure they are findable (is that even a word?).

Big love,

Ham out!

Hey guys, just so you know James and FBA have issued me with a full refund as promised and as requested. Good luck with your suits and using this company.

I honestly feel I have had a lucky escape.

How much time took the refund?

Re: Full Refund

In all fairness they told me 48 hours, and it's been made in that time scale.

I was stern with my demand for a full refund and rightly so, but they did stick to their 48 hour refund promise.

So happy.

Guys,
I changed the title search of my videos to "Buy full body armors Ironman Mark 43 review Part 1 and Part 2" if anyone is looking. Thanks Hammy for the suggestion!

So i was told that my suit would be delivered by Nov 30th. I purchased this suite on June 30th. James has told me now it will be delivered in 2 weeks. This is ridiculous! It's going to be half a year now waiting. Their website has a lot of false advertising and false information. It's part of their marketing scheme.

I don t understand that there is so much difference between stories here about the delivering.. But a June order that is still not delivered is not acceptable if they are saying that they can deliver new suits in 20 days...
What is going wrong there?

Hi guys,
So I finally got my shipping confirmation for my suit today via DHL with tracking details, should have it by mid next week. I'll also get a video review up for everyone to check out, see if there's much difference from Superdaves, probably not, but we'll see. I'm actually excited now that it's finally coming!
