The Walking Dead Season 5 Discussion (Spoilers)

You are right on the head explosion. I went back to watch what they showed on the show. I must be thinking of the behind the screens I watched before on it. Which they were talking about thinking how to do it.

The last time we saw Morgan was after the group left Gabriel's church on the way to DC I believe. So unless he scored a ride and followed them, he may be pretty far behind!

in the last 20 seconds of next weeks show

If you really want to know.....

Morgan is actually in the beginning of the episode this time ;)

I guess the next question would be...

Does he make it to ASZ?............................................yes, yes he does

I actually don't think you SEE the head explode. It's off frame when it happens. So, to me, that's a key difference. The fishhooking of Noah was, for me, what was the worst part. Like, him being bitten and bleeding? Yeah, that's pretty common. Glen being helpless? Yeah, that's sad and horrifying. But the fishhook thing and how they dwelt on it...that, to me, was over the mark. I mean, it wasn't a fatal (no pun intended) flaw of the episode, but it definitely took me out of it and that was after having already read spoilers for the episode in advance and people's reaction to it. Even knowing "It's gonna be gross" it was still shockingly gross.

I'm a gorehound. I loved Noah's death scene. *shrug*

sorry noah

Might want to edit your post since its a spoiler.

Well in the comics, he doesn't make it too far after reaching ASZ

Truth.

I'm really hoping Daryl meets a similar end in ASZ

I think it would be really cool if he went out defending his clan from the wolves.

I actually think that the fact that a death like Liam's is gruesome but NOT shocking helps illustrate the nature of the universe they've created on the show.

Aiden! His name was Aiden.
A small point I know, but my two sons are named Aidan and Liam and now you've placed them both in the apocalypse for me. :(

I've got a prediction. Well, more like a hypothesis. I apologize if I've mentioned this before, but here it is (I've put spoilers on it just in case it turns out to be true in some way).

My prediction: It's going to turn out the reason why Deanna brought Rick and company into Alexandra is because they know there's a group of bad guys coming (the same guys that have left Ws on the foreheads on some of the Walkers, as well have taken the torsos, the same group that attacked Noah's community). And she knows they need someone who has been out there to be able to fight against them.

What lead me to suspect this is the fact that it was stated that Alexandra had contemplated bringing in other groups, but Rick's group was the first one they decided on. So, what made them change their minds now instead of choosing any of the others they've encountered? Answer: they're in danger, and they know it now, and they need someone who knows how to handle themselves.

Like I said, it's a hypothesis.

If this show was real life, you can bet your butt it would be important.
Procuring ammo would be a top priority in those circumstances, equally important as food, water, and shelter.
And I doubt ammunition would just be sitting on shelves for the taking -
it would have been bought up and hoarded long ago, when the panic started.

Sure the store shelves are empty, being bought out or looted during the early days, but I'd be surprised if even half of them had been used. Houses, backpacks, pockets of the dead, cars, there are probably hundreds of thousands of rounds between DC and Atlanta for those who are looking.

Rick's group wasn't the first group they've let in. Its the first group in a little while they said.

I'm pretty sure that Deanna said that they came across other groups, but Rick's group was the first one they considered to let in in quite a long time.

Nah they've let in plenty, remember that is Aaron and Eric's sole purpose there or was at least for Eric. Plus one of the last few that were let in was Enid, which wasnt that long before the current group.

Also, just a heads up,...there is an after credits scene like the last finale.

Aaron and Eric's sole purpose was to evaluate potential groups to be brought in for "auditioning" for a spot in town. Deanna did the interviews, which determined if they would be allowed to stay or go (this is even established in the episode where we're first introduced with Deanna, as she asks Rick if he's telling her not to let his group in when he gives her the warning about not letting people in). The girl that Carl's crushing on was brought in months ago (and you notice that they haven't introduced any others from any group she was a part of, just her by herself). And Deanna said, and I found the actual quote, "Your group is the first we've even considered taking in for a long time."

Thanks for the heads up on the after credits scene. :)
