The Walking Dead Season 4

The governors also not alone, after he massacred his attack party, his two "enforcers" took off with him.

I haven't read the comics, and I don't watch Talking Dead (don't have AMC), but I'm surprised no one has mentioned it here: Based on her conversation with Beth, and her reaction to the baby, Michonne was obviously a mother. To me that's the most interesting thing that has happened / been revealed in the new season. Also, based on what Michonne said about the walkers she had in chains, I'm starting to put a story together about Michonne's life before the outbreak.

Potential spoilers if they turn out to be true:
One of the chained zombies was Michonne's abusive husband or boyfriend who fathered her child. The pregnancy/child was the only thing that made her happy, which helped her cope with the abusive relationship. The baby was obviously lost before the outbreak, or near the beginning. Michonne was a delicate person before the outbreak, but the events leading up and into it flipped her 180 degrees in the same way it did to the Governor (if we are to believe he was a simple, white collar father). Being exposed to a healthy new baby in the prison overwhelms Michonne with memories of the only thing that made her happy before the outbreak, which is what causes her to break down.

If my speculation is accurate, I find Michonne about a thousand times more interesting now. I know what drives her now, and I really like it. When Michonne broke into tears, everything made sense to me. I teared up a little too.

Based on what? There wasn't anything we could see besides a light, and barely a hand pushing a rat through the fence. Besides, it's not as if they have any great authority to dismiss that on that show.

Well they did have the executive producer on there and his reaction kind of looked like they may have been right.

Interesting fact: My friend Chris was the guy they modeled the zombie after in the FCBD comic (which also appeared in an issue of Playboy) who bit Michonne's boyfriend and turned him.

Michonne told Andrea that the two zombies that she had on a leash were her husband and his best friend. Which both killed her daughter(s) when they turned. So...she just misses having a baby / child in this new world. Joys that she feels that she'll never know of again.

i got money on the new black guy feeding the rats. The guy that started the mess inside the store with the wine bottles. yes, the bottles was an accident, but he seems like he wants to be more involved with things going on. kinda like a mole / rat for the Gov.

I don't think its him since the hand we see holding the rat looks like very light skin (unless they used a different actor/actress to hold the rat)

I'm guessing it was the little girl who was feeding the walkers

The person who burned the bodies might not necessarily be the same person who was fedding the rats. It could have been Carol who burned the bodies. Maybe she figured they were as good as dead anyway, so she killed them to make they couldn't turn, and burned them to disinfect them. She has been on a real "got to handle things" type of kick

Actually, it looks like whoever is feeding the Walkers is wearing black gloves (I could be wrong).

Not in the show. In the show, she has not yet revealed who those zombies were. The most she's ever said about those zombies is, "They weren't human to begin with". Absolutely no other detail has been revealed.

He'll be getting 2 full episodes soon. after a few flashbacks

I'm curious to know if he was always a tyrannical psychopath, or if he was honest when he told Andrea he used to be a regular, white collar father and husband. Heck, he might have been blue collar, but I get a white collar vibe from him.

If they use the novels to explain the governors backstory, it would be pretty awesome.

From what I remember reading, David Morrissey stated in an interview that he read the novel Rise of the Governor in order to prepare for his role. Makes sense to me.

I'm wondering if these 2 new little girls will be modeled over the two twin boys from the comics. With the one boy who went insane and killed his twin. Their father Alan, looked like the little girls' father. And the actions of these two little girls are playing out like the twin boys.

They both have serious issues. And the youngest said, "You're so stupid and weak" (or something along those lines), and I could have sworn one of the twin boys said that to the other one.

Wouldn't expect much info on that, think of it as more of what has the Gov, Martinez, and Shumpert been up to since we last saw them

Although, in the graphic novels and book, the Gov was a wuss. His brother Phillip was the tough guy, when he died the Gov took his name and became who he is now.

Supposedly there will be an entire episode that will be pretty much verbatim to the comic. I wonder which one

Kirkman wrote episode 3 and episode 9. Episode 9 is the episode that will be the most similar to the graphic novel.

Interesting theory, and the one girl is good at drawing and naming zombies.

Sorry for the length ... I watch TWD on itunes and don't want to read any spoilers.

It only makes sense if you expect the possibility of walkers inside the jail, something they clearly didn't expect. Besides, if the jail is a modern one, which it appears to be, the cells would lock electronically via a guard station which means, no power no locks. Even if they had power to run the locks or if they didn't run on electricity it would still require someone to man the locks at all times and if that person died in the middle of the night then everybody would be locked in with no way out.

The prison uses keyed locks. They've shown us that several times including the most recent episode. Also, I agree with whoever already said paranonia keeps you alive ... They got lazy and comfortable. I would've been shutting my door every night. Also, Tyreese's woman is to blame for all those deaths. She clearly heard something in the bathroom but did a poor job of looking around since he was laying on the ground a few feet away from her. Then seconds after she lays down she somehow doesn't hear Patrick making obvious zombie noises walking behind her nor the commotion one cell over of the guy getting attacked. Yeah, I know he couldn't yell because his throat was ripped out but she should've heard a pin drop it was so quiet.

The one thing that tonight's episode reaffirmed for me is the need to replace their fences with a good wall. I'd start with making it walker proof then improving it over time to where it can withstand at least a light delivery truck (think UPS/FedEx) running into it. With a good wall in place they wouldn't have to worry about walkers piling up against it or another Governor style attack.

The cheval de frise (spike wood barrier) they built flanking the gate seemed very effective at keeping the zombies away. I would've continued to build more eventually outlining their entire perimeter. Then in between the chainlink fences they could construct Hesco barriers. We built thousands of them in OIF/OEF they're super easy to build and with a bit of care can be stacked.

I think they need to devise a way to construct a flamethrower. Maybe it'll help with clearing the fence.

Fire takes a very long time to kill zombies and creates a bigger hazard because unless you somehow contain them they're wander around setting other stuff on fire until they finally die.

My bet is that the one feeding the zombies, burning the bodies, ect...is none other than The Governor.

I think its Lizzie ... As her sister said, "Lizzie isn't weak, she's messed up." I see her like Beth was until Judith was born. The trauma of the new world is too much for her to process.

I couldn't agree more! I really like Michonne's character development this season. She's friendly, helpful, and smiles. There seems to be a little something between her and Rick. She obviously likes Carl. But she's still a strong "warrior woman" ... Although the scene with Judith was really powerful. I think she must've had a child that's now dead.

When Tyreese went looking for his girlfriend they showed blood on the pillow as if the "sickness" had gotten them. I wouldn't be surprised if the "elders" decided it was better to secretly dispose of the sick and burned the bodies as a sanitary measure. This is all about the greater good. They've got limited medical supplies and have to protect the heathly just like they did during the black plague.

The blood could have just as easily been from a lead pipe to the forehead or knife through the ear.

I absolutely agree bodies should have been burnt, but executing a sick person or a person who may not even have the sickness they are concerned about is over the line.

I don't disagree. that's probably also why that is at least going to be suspected, or will actually be the case. It'll add more tension within the walls.

I've been wondering if some of this hasn't been partially orchestrated by the Governor as a way to secure the prison. Set the people inside it against each other while simultaneously begin sabotaging the perimeter fence. Then he can roll in, clear out the "biters" and take over. The loony girl feeding "Nick" could be a valid theory, but it could also be a red herring for someone else who thinks Rick and his people can't be trusted, or who was simply loyal to the Governor and wanted to control the prison or even just get revenge for destroying Woodbury.

Very true about the lead pipe or knife ... It's a hard call to make but desperate times call for desperate measures. One sick kid caused the death of like 15 people. That's too high of an attrition rate to ignore.

Interesting theories ... I'm just not as convinced the Governor has the support or capability to pull off that kind of a plan. If he was still running Woodbury than I'd be more inclined to agree.
