Don't blame me, blame the writers. Let's see, you've so far had:
Lori, who's shrew and shrill behavior pitted one man against another, who vacillated constantly between the two Alpha males, who couldn't talk like an intelligent adult to one or the other without inadvertently resulting in them actually having a fight to the death because she kept leading one on while egging the other to kill the one she was leading on. When just about the only woman who started to take a stand and act like a survivor, Andrea, Lori told her she should be back in the kitchen 'fixin sandwhiches for the men folk and washing dishes' And in all that time she couldn't keep Carl in the damn house.
Andrea, who was essentially worthless the first season, who had a gun and couldn't tell how to use the safety. Then she threw a fit and wanted to waste herself like Jacques, and then blamed Dale for having the gall to actually try to save her life. Spent much of second season chasing after the lunatic in the group screwing him in a moving car during the zombie apocalypse, and now this season is banging a character voted in the top 10 of most evil comic book villians in history. One who is too stupid to see the threat around her and is happy to just sit in Woodbury screwing the current Alpha male in the area. I predict if she survives Woodbury she'll be screwing the next Alpha male she runs into, maybe at the walled off suburbs they stop off next.
Jacques, who was a big whole bag of nothing and the only time on screen was to talk about missing her vibrator, and then letting herself be blown up because the world was just so hhhaaaaaarrrdddd.
Michonne, who doesn't bother to mention any relevant information to Andrea about her concerns about the safety of Woodbury, like the bullet holes and non-walker blood on the Army vehicles. When she shows up at the Prison, she actually REFUSES to tell Rick and anyone there about what is going on, why she's even there, even though she made the effort to take the supplies Glenn and Maggie had to the Prison. She then remains the stoic, tight lipped mute instead of telling them details of what happened, details that you know might be handy if you are planning on assaulting a town to save members of your group. Information that if provided, WHICH SHE HAD, included the one handed racist redneck looking for his brother that he knows is at where Maggie and Glen came from. She didn't even have to mention his name, but details of who shot her and took Glenn and Maggie and all that? Kinda important.
Maggie is the only character that has been portrayed as even remotely competent, and you'll note the only female character people are concerned about seeing any harm done to her. Why is that? Because the rest are pretty much worthless.
So don't give me **** for pointing out the way the female characters of this TV show have been written. I'm just stating it like it is. Women were written with a well rounded detail of flaws AND strong points in their characterization in the comics. In the TV show, nothing better than recepticles.
