The Walking Dead Season 3

Andrea didn't bother to mention it because women in this TV show have been limited to very little more than semen recepticles. They're just written as incredibly stupid wasted human beings.

as someone who has read the books I have to say I am completely bored with the Governor storyline and I want Andrea to die 1000 deaths.

Do I want it to be the exact same as in the book?...of course not but I was REALLY hoping for the true evil of the governor to come out in regards to the rape scene like it did in the books. I didn't want it to be as visually graphic but they should really have made it darker and more gut wrenching. His storyline should have been more double sided. We really needed to see more glimpses of his dark side throughout the series. Nice, warm and happy on one and completely deranged and psychotic on the other. More heads in a jar type stuff and less bad acting. This is where the books started losing me. It starts becoming very repetitive in regards to:

Comic spoiler alert!
After the prison it's move to another safe haven, fight with another psycho leader, kill him, lose another member, find another psycho..etc etc etc etc.

I do agree with some of what you said, but keep in mind they never would be able to show anything close to what they did in the comics regarding Michonne and the Gov and her retaliation. It's just not going to happen. Also keep in mind, the Gov isn't going anywhere for awhile so there is still plenty of time to show his craziness more.

All-in-all I think the writers are doing a pretty decent job of balancing the comic book stuff with other bits. Keep in mind they are writing to tv audiences not comic book ones but are dropping some nice nods for the comic fans (the phone, etc..).

Back to your comic spoiler, that's just the way it is, if they didn't do thatthen it would be a pretty boring comic wouldn't it, if they didn't have any enemies?

Don't get me wrong I would change some things as well, but as a "whole" Im happy with what they showed us.

Hell with Woodbury, I'm ready for Negan & Lucille ;)

Another teaser....

I'm just wondering why Andrea didn't give MiltOn the lowdown on brain processes during "turning" since the group watched scans of it at the CDC. Milton just seems like a waste of time.

I was thinking that too, I'm guessing it's being 8+ months on the road. Given what happened at the CDC with her and Dale, I bet that sticks out in her mind more than Jenner's speech.

That or she didn't think it was really important, because Milton was determined to see his experiment through no matter what anyone else said.

I really wish this board had an "ignore user" feature. What the ****, dude.

I'd bet that's the reason. Since Andrea was told Milton never saw a transformation happen she most likely went with it.

There is, go to their profile, then click "User list" I believe it's under there. :)

Maybe she did and we just didn't see it.... Milton seemed pretty convinced of his theory and probably wouldn't have listened to her anyways

Don't blame me, blame the writers. Let's see, you've so far had:

Lori, who's shrew and shrill behavior pitted one man against another, who vacillated constantly between the two Alpha males, who couldn't talk like an intelligent adult to one or the other without inadvertently resulting in them actually having a fight to the death because she kept leading one on while egging the other to kill the one she was leading on. When just about the only woman who started to take a stand and act like a survivor, Andrea, Lori told her she should be back in the kitchen 'fixin sandwhiches for the men folk and washing dishes' And in all that time she couldn't keep Carl in the damn house.

Andrea, who was essentially worthless the first season, who had a gun and couldn't tell how to use the safety. Then she threw a fit and wanted to waste herself like Jacques, and then blamed Dale for having the gall to actually try to save her life. Spent much of second season chasing after the lunatic in the group screwing him in a moving car during the zombie apocalypse, and now this season is banging a character voted in the top 10 of most evil comic book villians in history. One who is too stupid to see the threat around her and is happy to just sit in Woodbury screwing the current Alpha male in the area. I predict if she survives Woodbury she'll be screwing the next Alpha male she runs into, maybe at the walled off suburbs they stop off next.

Jacques, who was a big whole bag of nothing and the only time on screen was to talk about missing her vibrator, and then letting herself be blown up because the world was just so hhhaaaaaarrrdddd.

Michonne, who doesn't bother to mention any relevant information to Andrea about her concerns about the safety of Woodbury, like the bullet holes and non-walker blood on the Army vehicles. When she shows up at the Prison, she actually REFUSES to tell Rick and anyone there about what is going on, why she's even there, even though she made the effort to take the supplies Glenn and Maggie had to the Prison. She then remains the stoic, tight lipped mute instead of telling them details of what happened, details that you know might be handy if you are planning on assaulting a town to save members of your group. Information that if provided, WHICH SHE HAD, included the one handed racist redneck looking for his brother that he knows is at where Maggie and Glen came from. She didn't even have to mention his name, but details of who shot her and took Glenn and Maggie and all that? Kinda important.

Maggie is the only character that has been portrayed as even remotely competent, and you'll note the only female character people are concerned about seeing any harm done to her. Why is that? Because the rest are pretty much worthless.

So don't give me **** for pointing out the way the female characters of this TV show have been written. I'm just stating it like it is. Women were written with a well rounded detail of flaws AND strong points in their characterization in the comics. In the TV show, nothing better than recepticles.

+10 for every point Kerr just made. When Political Correctness keeps a man from speaking the truth...well...you'll be seeing that soon.

what I don't get is why our survivors allow the zombies to get and stay behind them without taking care of the problem...just a couple of examples from the last couple of episodes

Darryl, Carl and Oscar walking through the prison, clearing it out...There is something pushing at the door, possibly trying to get out, Darryl says there is probably a walker or 2 in there and that they will take care of them later..Yes, we find out later it was Carrol, but what if it was a few zombies and got out behind them and attacked?

Rick, Darryl, Michonne and Oscar going to Woodbury, get out of the car and the female walker which was 30 ft away approaches them...they let her follow them into the woods... Why not kill it??? It would have been the simplest thing to do, now they have a potential problem going back to the car

Considering that a single agitated walker would drag more with it in their direction, yeah, seemed a little dumb.

I thought the same thing about them just letting the walkers be, remember the one that got away and had Dale for dinner? :sick.

I was wondering that myself. I kinda came to the conclusion that if Woodbury sends out any sorts of patrols, they'd see a freshly killed zombie next a vehicle and know that there are people nearby whereas if it was still around they'd see an abandoned vehicle that could of been sitting there for a while.

Considering the patrols would know the area, I think they'd pay attention more to a vehicle that wasn't there before more than just another rotting corpse. Me, I'd prefer to make sure that 1 doesn't become 2. In the WD, any healthy adult should be able to take out a single walker without breaking a sweat, but make it 2, and you significantly raise the threat level.

That was my thought exactly as well, I thought that they left the zombie be so as not to leave any clue that they were there. Of course, I'd think that an abandoned car that wasn't there the last time they passed by the area, assuming they patrol that far out, would be an even bigger clue that somebody is there that probably shouldn't be.
