not for me. i'm not engaging even remotely w/ most of them. I like the blonde lass, but her attitude was stupid - suddenly giving back the gun she'd been whining about all episode? - and i like Daryl, and Rooker was great, for what little time he was in it. Carol -i woulda slapped her stupid face. it was so cliched, that crap about whining to the sheriff for leaving her daughter in the woods, yet SHE didn't lift a single finger herself!
this was the same problem w/ the comics - i just didn't give a fk if any of them died. i just hope they don't bring in that idiotic sword girl and her zombies on leashes :rolleyes
 
WAIT, WHAT! A SWORD GIRL WITH ZOMBIES ON LEASHES!!!! Now im interested. Bring it on. Does she have pig tails and a short cheerleader skirt?

If you didn't like the comic, why are you watching the show based on it?

Nope. Her name is Michonne and she is considered one of the more bad-ass characters in The Walking Dead comics.

BTW, don't ask how she got the zombies in the collars without getting killed. All I can say, from an emotional standpoint, it'd be a hard thing to do if you were in the situation she was in.

IF she shows up in the show. At the current point in the timeline of the comics (along the same timeframe of the show), Tyrese, his daughter Julie and her boyfriend Chris would be with them (as they joined the group after they left Atlanta and well before Carl got shot). I'm just saying there's a possibility that they may exclude her, as I think a report of Michonne being added to the cast of characters would be a big and noticeable thing, and that all fans would have been talking about well before the start of the season.
 
I love the show but the season opener should have been called kids in trouble, seemed like the majority of the show was about just finding the girl and then the other one gets shot Lol.

The closest thing to Michonne being referenced I've ever heard that was show related was Frank Darabont saying that he would like to include her and explore her character in an Interview back in Season 1.
 
I liked the second episode! I'm a big impressed with Maggie's introduction with combat, riding down the zombie while on a horse. I don't recall her being that action oriented in the comic. Darrel is really stealing the show so far, he's going to almost certainly get killed at some point due to his popularity.

I'm a bit concerned with the flashback though. I REALLY hope that's not AMCs method of trying to cheapen up the cost of the series. If we start seeing a lot of flashbacks I'm going to be PISSED. I don't think there was a single flashback in the comics.
 
I don't mind the flashbacks, brings me back to LOST lol. This episode seemed a little slow though, hopefully it'll pick up a little next week.
 
Darrel is definitely become the breakout character. I think what makes the character so good is watching him go from someone who on the outset appears so dis-likable, to one of the most dependable and useful members of the group.

A decent set-up episode. Introducing the new characters, and situation. Not every episode needs to be full of zombie killing action. That's what sets it apart from your average Uwe Boll grade zombie flick.
 
not sure what to think of this new episode...i was a little disappointed....two episodes of the group being in the same darn forest....still looking for the girl and dealing with the kid after being shot...

Yep. The talking dead afterwards hinted that next week should pick up the pace.

Also.. anyone else notice how crazy big the talking deads host adams apple is!! That thing is hugggggee

I was just mentioning that to my wife. It was distracting me every time he talked.

It was like Steve Martin in Roxanne, with that huge nose. Tic. Tic. Tic. It's hypnotic, isn't it?
