The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

I'd hold onto it very tightly. That sucker could be worth some money and probably is getting to be very rare. I don't know if they are being very quick to recover WW2 blades, but I have heard that it's now very difficult to get true historical katanas outside of the Japanese border.

Edit: Looks like it's mostly the really old ones, not including WW2. It wouldn't surprise me that in another 50 years they might include WW2 though.

It is my understanding that my blade is older than the rest of it, but I have never had it looked at by anyone. I have just always done my best to keep it safe.

Does anyone else think that this series will end with Rick in the hospital waking up out of a medical induced coma with Lori, Carl, and Shane at his side?

Its funny you say that because a bunch of people have already been trying to guess.

Luckily Kirkman said when the show does end hes not gonna take the easy way out. Now if Darabont was still attached to the show then I could see that because he is all about happy endings.

Here are some theories that others have posted on various TWD boards

they're planning on making everything a dream. Maybe Rick comes back from his coma, leaves the hospital, goes home and finds a welcome home party with Shane and Lori and fellow deputies.

Rick wake up from the coma only to find himself in ANOTHER zombie nightmare but it's real instead, and so he knows exactly what to do to live

Other ideas are that Kirkman keeps joking about aliens; that they developed the 'plague' to wipe out the population so that they could inhabit the earth without even breaking a sweat. Maybe one of the producers liked that idea and will go more in depth with it.

"well we'll just have Daryl riding out into the sunset with Andrea and Carl and they'll live a happy life together in the zombie apocalypse, oh and we could have Rick die right before that to SHOCK the viewers!"

Maybe the military comes to save the day, or the survivors encounter the military? (but I'd imagine in any scenario like that, that they'd try to shoot them down ala "The Crazies"

the zombies all die out somehow and now the survivors have to deal with other humans?

somebody creates a cure, maybe a group of scientists in a small community like the Alexandria safe-zone? But they'd still get eaten alive, since a cure doesn't exactly get rid of the millions of walkers that inhabit the earth... it just loosens the weight on the survivors' shoulders.

only Rick dies but Carl lives, and he finds a safe community to stay in with tons of survivors

Happier ending: Group is wiped down to just a few, and they find a completely fortified community with sane, rational people ala the ending of I Am Legend (movie).

Darker ending: Group is wiped down to just a few, that few is cornered by about a thousand walkers. Only a few bullets left. One bullet short. One person kills everyone else and sets out to commit suicide by walker

Group finds sanctity and fortifies some place; building of some sort with virtually indestructable walls of some sort. Last shot pans away to them standing there watching the walkers who have completely surrounded them....

Daryl rides off into the sunset.

na i think they find out that newborns arent infected, and that way all baby born after the happening can turn over a new leaf.

another thing, the zombies are rotting, arent they? so, wouldnt that mean that after some time they would actually just turn into mush? i have no idea how long a human body takes to decompose, bones take a longer time than tissue, but with all the meat etc gone, wouldnt that basicly kill the zombies? also, freezing should be an issue (they said that somewhere during season 2) as those zombies dont have body heat, wouldnt they just freeze up?

In World War Z that was brought up and dealt with. Basically the zombies froze in place. They looked forward to the winters so they can rebuild/resupply/etc...

why not go out and kill as many as possible? i mean they cant do any harm in that state, you dont need ammunition to kill them in that state, just crack open their head. should be an easy enough way to master the zombie apocalypse :D also, would that mean that living on a mountain would be more safe? like near a glacier. on the other hand i can see that there wont be much food there either. maybe im thinking to much about this :D

i think i need to watch world war Z now

Maybe so. My thought last night was that I hope Lori doesn't lose her baby. It would be a serious problem for her if she was to have a miscarriage, and the fetus came back.

Oh they do, toward the end of the war they start killing them while they are frozen in place.

You're gonna have to wait til Summer 2013 even though finished filming a little bit ago. One of my buddies has some cool props from it already. I would highly recommend the book if you like reading. The first major battle takes place in Yonkers, New York it is described perfectly.

/back on topic :)

Really? You should check out The Mist. That's not a remotely happy ending. Even Stephen King commented about how messed up the change to the ending was... though he did go on to say he wished he'd thought of it!

You are correct, and actually I liked the ending of the mist (movie version). That sentence and the one before it I should have put in their own paragraph, I was quoting from one of the TWD forums.

Crap in heaven! If a medical induced coma comes with dreams like the show, where do I go to sign up!

I should get Daryl Dixon and Michonne to come here and stomp your ass for making such a suggestion! :lol

Seriously, that would be the WORST idea for an ending ever. Why? My Fiction Workshop teacher from when I attended Florida State University, Mark Winegardner (who also is the author of The Godfather Returns and The Godfather's Revenge) told me once that the WORST thing you can do is end a story on one of two lines: 1. "So, here I am in prison, recounting to you what happened." 2. (the worst offender of all) "And then I woke up." The second one is the worst offender because you have to set up clues that your character is dreaming from the first page (in the case of the idea you're suggesting, from the first episode). So far, there hasn't been any clues or evidence put into the show that could remotely back up the idea that Rick is dreaming. And the moment you pull that ending off, you're going to tick off the millions of viewers who watched the show and they'll call you a cop out. Remember the instant cut to black for The Sopranos? Remember all the negative feedback they got because of it? Because viewers found that unsatisfactory. The same is true if you have Rick go through all that he goes through in the show, only to wake up and it be a dream, you're going to tick people off, because that's basically screaming, "YOU'RE STUPID!" right in their face.

gosh I hope someone opens the boot/trunk of shanes car soon as last thing he put in there was a handgun (glock?) with 2 clips and a box of ammo

True, a good tang is a must. I think a good example of how a good katana can flex is the katana they used in a Mythbusters episode on their spinning/swinging robot. I can't remember the exact myth they were busting, but you can see how the blade of the katana practically bent to a 90 degree before returning to the original shape.

I always thought ghurki's were best for head lobbing, or scimitars...:love

Another Thing: How the Hell can those Zombies next to Michonne stay back? Woudln't they blindly rush her constantly? Still a badass intro.:thumbsup
