The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

I'll confess, in this fictional world, once I got my "base" situation set up, built up a decent armory/ammo supply, chow, med supplies, and other logistical "stuff", I'd be going out on clearing missions. Hopefully pick up a few non-Walker, real human, military types and have a good old time sweeping up and clearing out that Walker situation.

if you think about the sheer number of walkers, even if you had the enough ammo for a military base, youd run out of ammo fairly quickly. no rapid fire machine gun is gonna last for days after a endless wave of walkers. your ****ed.

Well, we wouldn't bring them to us, we'd be going out to get them. Part of going out includes checking out new sources of supplies, grabbing whatever ammo we can as we go. Other missions would be run just to re-supply. Once our area was cleared out, we'd move on further. Of course, we'd have the transport, fuel, etc. needed. You got to have a hobby, even in a "Walker World."

:lol

If you work the situation to your advantage, a simple .22 is a perfect zombie weapon and you can carry 1000s of rounds easily. Still a 1 shot kill to the head and relavitely quiet

Really looking forward to the next shows. I figure things on the farm have been pretty easy and it's time to amp up the danger/action. Shane and some in the group seem ready, others not so much.

I think the best bet to keep the human race alive would honestly be to nuke the major cities so you can be sure to vaporize the largest populations of walkers. Taking out New York alone would take out 8 million of them. Hitting the top 10 populated cities in the country would take out 25 million of them.

Is it crazy? Will it release a bunch of radioactive debris and dust into the air? Will innocent people die too? Yes to all of those. But you don't have enough bullets, skill or protection to kill all of them.

Hey, don't forget all the radioactive zombies that will be created outside the initial blast zones! The zombies won't even have to bite you if they get close enough.

True, but I'm not spraying and praying. I am exercising fire discipline and taking single shots with a dedicated sniper/hunting rifle, preferably from a nest in a secure building. Alternatively, we're shooting from a mobile platform.

In any case, you don't have to kill them; you just have to outlast them.

Do people that die from natural causes become walkers? Or is it just normal people that get bit become walkers?

Basically what I'm asking is if no one is bit to become infected and the walkers are gone, is it over and back to normal for the regular people that survived?

I think everyone is infected already. Death is what it takes to trigger the Walker "sickness". You die of natural causes, you come back as a walker. If you get bit by a walker, that gives you a slightly different, worse infection that your body can't recover from and you die, then being a Walker. Just a thought, I've got no proof. I don't think anyone's been bit, then given antibiotics and recovered on the show.

Oh, these seem like they belong in this thread...

That is a good question if the whole thing resets to normal if all of the walkers are gone. Well and if the infection has been eradicated. I have not heard of the everybody is infected scenario. But with zombie lore anything and everything is possible.

This very issue was addressed in the comics and should be addressed probably early next season.

I hope they eventually adress on the show how long it takes for the brain to decompose and render the walkers...really, truly, dead.

Oneye, great pics:)

Edit: Disregard my reply, I thought you were talking about how long it took for a human brain to die and resurrect as a Walker.
