Yeah...I am still hoping they go another route. I am not expecting them to take the harder road and make Shane a hero or a righteous dude. I expect them to take the easy quick thrills and chills route and make him out in a negative light.

I guess I am just on the other side of the fence on this argument. I just know that I feel that what has been shown so far of his TV character he doesn't strike me as a bloodthirsty coward who only cares for himself.

Maybe I am not seeing what everyone else is, but thats just how I feel. Heck maybe Shane will turn out to be the governor! Doubtful, but that would be interesting...

Rick has his hat back and Shane has hair.

Surprised no-one has brought up Shane getting all rape-ey at the end of last season. The fact that he's a wackjob with sound survival instincts is what makes him interesting, and without doubt the best written character in the show.

In some respects, he's like a viewer substitute shouting at his TV screen at the idiocy of everyone else in the show.

He needs to exit like in the book though, or they're really missing a trick.

Don't put too much hope into him being turned into anything like a hero. There's nothing wrong with liking Shane, I like him as a character. I also liked Hannibal Lector, but that doesn't mean I think he's nice guy. Shane is a *******, he's going to act that way in an intelligent manner though. He's not a loose cannon, entirely, though the rant and smashing of the barn door shows he has that capacity. In many ways, that makes him MORE dangerous because he's calculating and can keep most of his rage under wraps.

I just noticed that when Farmer John tells Rick about zombie catching he says one of the other guys (the one that went to help maybe) lures them to the farm and Fatty would round them up into the barn. So that means not only did Farmer John know about the little girl, so did the other guy.

It is a different shirt. One has a rainbow, the other a circle. The rainbow shirt is also a lighter shade of blue, even considering the dirt. They are similar, but not the same. The second actress looks older too, although that could be the makeup.

I hope they ad in some crazy military types bent on launching nukes to fry the walkers. Extra crispy walkers and a nuke crisis could be interesting. I am looking forward to see how winter plays out for our survivors as well.
