The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

If the group were on his farm at the house and firing off a lot of rounds, then yeah, walkers would probably head in that direction. Of course, walkers are dumb as ****, and when they reach the fence on the farm unless there is something within view that is edible, it's not as likely to try to climb or get through the fence.

I thought this was part of the reason they were driving off a good distance to practice shooting as well. No need to bring further attention to the good place they have going so far.

The best episode of the season so far for me. Love the fact that Shane will train Carl how to shoot (WIN).

I would have loved to see Dale pull a gun on Shane during their little confrontation. How about that seen with Shane and Andrea on the way back from looking for Sophia?! So killing multiple zombies apparently can be a turn on?

Well, looks like the spoilers are (so far) on the money.
Screengrab from the trailer for next week's show...(Wonder who Rick is putting down?)

Oh and for laughs...(Please, please, do not click on if you were offended by What Andrea did to Shane in the car)

Would have been very funny if she would have done that, then he pushed her out of the car! LOL

You know what would be ironic about Shane teaching Carl how to shoot?

If the situation in the comic where Shane comes close to killing Rick comes up and Carl shooting Shane in order to keep his father alive. Seriously, that would be a perfect example of irony in that case. I'm putting this in spoilers in case there are those who haven't read the comics, or in case if the events of the comics comes true for Shane.

I'm glad that they're at least having Andrea be good with a handgun (after all that's how she is in the comics up to Vol. 3, where I'm currently at).

I still don't understand the whole zombies don't come to the farm thing. Maybe they have a no soliciting sign? There has been a lot of traffic and commotion going on around there to attract groups like that huge hoard on the freeway. They are not that far away from it right? Or maybe I am used to a smarter zombie.

Maybe they know that if they go to the farm, they'll be locked up in a barn and forced to eat live chickens. I'm not sure why you'd bother feeding zombies either. They're dead. They don't really need to eat... zombies are just kind of stupid and don't know that.

Hershel seems to be operating under the assumption that the walkers are just "Sick" and that they might find a "cure" to bring that back to being real people again. At least thats what I got out of the last couple of episodes.

Yeah, I believe he says the same thing in the comics. He probably figures to keep feeding them lest they "starve" to death.

OK, kiddies. Andrea became a killing machine and then reached over and grabbed...my heart. I'm back in.

In case you care. ;)

Oh, and if anyone is looking for the Broad Brush, I'm pretty sure I know who has it.

I dunno. I like the show and I want to like the show... but, it's like stupid stuff happens that it's almost like they don't want me to like it.

The whole Andrea plotline is just ridiculous - between her sudden, miraculous desire to become a sniper (and almost succeeding in killing Darryl), the automatic forgiving of the same, and her now expert proficiency with the handgun along with her now forgotten suicidal behavior - well, it takes me so far out of the story, that the rest of the show suffers because of it.

But even beyond the Andrea stuff, the whole show is just dragging and dragging. I understand the character development and they we are (hopefully) building to something... but, the pace is just killing it for me. That and the character development we are getting just seems over melodramatic and even comes off like badly written soap opera drivel.

I mean come on - Glenn doesn't just give up one of the characters' big secrets, he gives up two huge secrets? Couldn't they find another scapegoat?

The first season was so good and this season started off decently enough. But, I think they're losing something and the show storyline is becoming weaker and weaker.

I agree with JD's critique. There's a LOT of stupid behavior in the characters. The women characters are becoming especially annoying. And where is that little girl? They've kept her missing FAR too long. I'm rooting for the show and I REALLY want to like it... but it's definitely dragging for me too.

The missing girl reminds me of a search and rescue we were on about 20 years ago where a little boy (I believe he was 10) went missing while camping with his parents in Yosemite. His family if I recall were from nearby Merced. After three days the parents were sent home so it could be turned into a recovery mission. When his parents walked into the front door of the house there was the kid playing Nintendo and eating Doritos. He didnt want to go camping so when his parents left him unattended he simply hitched a ride back home and played video games for three days strait.

What if they find the little girl at one of the ninja zombie houses playing Nintendo and eating chips? Stranger things have happened in real life.

It's because Darabont left and the current show runner is an idiot. When he joined the show, he said he didn't read the comics because he didn't want it to "infect the writing style"

All I can say is I would bet $20 the reason the show sucks is because of Glen Mazarra.

Honestly, Andrea's evolution in the last episode is starting to grow on me a bit the more I think about it. She was suicidal because she felt powerless. The encounter with the walkers where she was able to finally fight back and take some of them out (and no doubt avenging her little sister in her mind) empowered her and renewed her will to live. It does happen.

My hope with Andrea is that the writers will turn **** into gold and have her learn from the cock-up with shooting Darryl and actually start listening to people.

As for Glenn, he told Maggie straight up that he can't keep a secret/lie. He's one of the most guileless of the characters and has always been the guy where 'what you see is what you get'. For me, his being unable to keep these HUGE secrets is very much in keeping with his character.

I think Darabont was involved until episode 6... which would mean that this past episode is the last he was involved with.

If Mazarra said that he has no business dealing with The Walking Dead at all. I don't care if Kirkman is involved with the program - I'm okay with changes from comic to television (if they make sense)... but, to not have read the comic and have some healthy respect for the source material? Sorry, you don't belong with the production.

I've been lurking on this thread a little...

As already mentioned, I find myself wanting to like this show - but the past couple episodes are really boring me - prolly not the right choice of wording, but seriously....the search for Sophia has gone on too long. Rick has to be over-the-top, passionately emotional in every single conversation it seems....until his wife fesses up about the Shane thing and he was rather docile.

I sit down like a little kid watching a magic trick when I watch stuff like this. I want to be surprised and entertained. I was surprised when Shane took out Otis that way...my brain suspected it a couple minutes before the reveal...but I was still surprised.

Oh, and Carl getting to have a gun...sersly :-/

Out of the sixty minutes it's on air...I find myself really only diggin about ten of those minutes because of the pace.

...and don't get me started on the commercials...it seems there's more interuptions of commercials than there is show. Made me toss my hands up last night and consider looking into torrents.

I just want to know where they're getting all this ammo from. Rick must have and endless weapons cache in that single black bag of his.
