The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

I wasn't paying attention, did they show Merle in any of the quick clips from the rest of season 2?

I was kinda hoping the well zombie would turn out to be Otis, having him find his way home like the guys wife did from the first episode. I thought the episode was ok, More Lauren Cohan please!

I do hope Otis returns as well. More incentive to FINALLY get rid of Shane. Though...I still want the comic book version for him...

With as many zombies present and swarming him as we saw, I think it's fairly safe to say that there isn't enough 'Otis' left to return!

Even if he does, that doesn't mean it changes anything for Shane. Unless it unhinges him somehow, his story still holds up.

I know...I was being hopeful! :lol

Yeah...he just doesn't have purpose anymore. Which is probably why he didn't last in the comics after Rick returned. Clearly they paid this actor too much, hence why they're keeping him around -_-.

I got the feeling that the zombie well will turn out to be related to Glens new not girl friend. The way they were going over "and I lost him , and I lost her, and him" with the photos on the fridge and how they don't want guns on the farm gave me the feeling it was a family member down there. I haven't read any of the comics though so I have nothing to go by with this.

I had high hopes for the show and I enjoyed the first season, but I've about had it, mostly over their stupidity and over the guns (not training anyone else, poor handling, etc). Why is it so necessary for them to stay together? Where are they going? Why the unreliable RV when they could have their pick of vehicles? Why do they not pick up guns and ammo and food wherever they find it?

Romero had it right with "Dawn of the Dead."

Aside from Daryl, Shane's the only interesting character in the show, dunno why everyone is so keen for him to get offed.

I don't see this season as being any slower or more stupidly plotted than the first, it just seems that way 'cos there are less zombies.

I agree, this season has yet to have wowed me. But it is still early. Have you read the comics at all? Just curious.

As far as the training, they have trained some of the group and I'm sure you will see more. As far as everyone goes...some people just suck, no matter how much training you give them, others may not want to learn to shoot a gun.

Why do they stay together? The whole world has collapsed. There is strength in numbers. Even loners like Daryl and Merle could see the benefits of being in a group in a setting like this. It certainly benefited Shane when he was with Otis, eh?

I do see them picking up guns, food etc wherever they go. As far as the RV, the show is being told from their POV, and so far they have not come across something large enough for all of them to fit in/defend if need be yet.

That is likely the reason why they have not just kept multiple vehicles.

The more I think about that well zombie, the more I think that he resembles Kuato from Total Recall.

The well zombie reminds me of the root cellar demon (the scientist's wife) from "Evil Dead."

I read the first three comics, I believe, and then neglected to continue. I understand the necessity (and/or desire) of sticking to the elements that resonated with the fans in the first place, but they've already veered wildly away from the comics, so why not smarten up the characters and the plots while they're at it?

I think that whoever took over from Darabont doesn't trust the audience the way he does. Case in point: the test stick. WHY did we have to see it? Why not leave it hanging? Why not let us just guess the result from her reaction? Why do you have to put it on a silver platter and present it to us as if we wouldn't otherwise get it?

I guess I'll watch the next one, but I really feel no compulsion to do so.

This season seems to be moving slower then the 1st one. I do agree though I hope the well zombie turns out to be a relative of the vet doctor who saved Rick's son. Also can I say I really hope they keep Lauren Cohan's character around for season 3. It is interesting hearing her with no touch of her British Heritage, as I had only watched her in Van Wilder 2, her supernatural episodes and Death Race 2 she seemed to have a Brit accent in all of them.(I could be wrong about Death Race 2 saw it shortly after it came out on DVD/BR)

I do hope they tie up the story with Sophia fairly soon and they do get back on the road by the end of the season.

It's just not feasible for them to do weapons training. In the comic, Rick and Glenn raided the gun store in downtown Atlanta but in the show, all their extra weapons consist of what Rick grabbed from the cop shop. To effectively train everyone to even hit a zombie let alone score a headshot would end up using all of their rounds.
