The Question mask?

Ok so I was thinking of putting together a costume for Halloween this year (maybe the local comic convention too) and I kinda want to do The Question. I haven't quite figured out where I'm going to get the blue fedora or trench coat but the most important part would be the mask.
Short of gluing pantyhose to my face with spirit gum, I don't have any ideas for how to make the mask. Has any one ever done this costume or have any ideas on how to do it and still be able to see and breathe?

I tried searching The Question but that pretty much returns the whole forum as a result.

I saw someone a few years ago with a mask done very similar to this. Someday I'll have to give it a try.
