Sure, it isn't new information, but I thought the mighty RPF would still appreciate this article that appeared in an issue of Racer X Illustrated (the most prestigious publication in motocross).

And excuse the scanning; my buddy didn't get it all in, sadly.

I always had heard they were motorcycle racing chest protectors, but never the exact model before. Thanks for the great info !!!!
 
i heard that info years ago and studied tons of reference pictures and while the Hallman is one of the closest matches i´ve seen i´m still unsure if it definatly was the screenused part.
or at least was the correct part for all colors, there seems to be differences from pauldron color to pauldron color...

btw. the guys of Hallmann don´t want to be contacted by Star Wars "nerds" unless ordering hundreds of pauldrons/protectors... DOUCHEBAGS! :angry

At least get the company right if you're gonna call someone a ****** bag. Hallman hasn't made these in over thirty years; Hallman hasn't existed in almost as long (it became Thor MX apparel).
